I don't think Japans have Christmas, so they don't necessarily have a reason to break. Besides, they have many diverse holidays throughout the year, or festivals whatever for breaks.

It doesn't matter. There is no Naruto chapter in the last week of December, nor in the 2nd week of January due to recurring Double Issues (#04-05, which was issued last week, and #06-07, which will be issued in the first week of January).

WSJ takes these two breaks every year (End of Year & New Year breaks you could call it) as well as two other breaks for Japanese-related holidays. You can reason as much as you want about how they have no reason to take a break at this time of year, but the fact is: they take these breaks every year and no amount of reasoning you do can change that.

I wasn't referring to not taking a break if that's how they always do, I meant that it's senseless to take a break if it were only for holidays. But since there's another reason, and not holidays which they don't have anyway I believe, it's alright.
