The eyes are permanent the chakra is temporary, Kishi never said the eyes were temporary fans assumed they were like they always do. Obito has residual Rikodou Chakra from the time he was Juubi Jin, in the sense they same way Gaara can still manipulate sand and pull out the Shukaku.

Yet He used all this chakra, sorry but only explanation is that Obito mixed Naruto;s chakra with Sasuke's chakra which he got when they needed to get out of Kaguya's dimenssion and this allowed him to crease Rikudou's chakra or regain it so but he didn't get opportunity to use it so gifted Kakashi. This is only one reasonable explanation.

That BS for one even were chakra is depleted doesn't mean it disappears altogether. Naruto's KCM chakra recovered without touching Kurama's source after Naruto took that for himself why would Obito's sage chakra disappear when it wasn't stated to be used until now?

I Agree that he has only a specific amount of Rikudou chakra, but maybe that rikudou chakra is enhancing his eye power, while taking all the strain off his body - [Blindness / Bleeding / ECT] And yeh I think half of obito's body was a shell made from the mokuton.
