Yeah Minato does seem to only have "average" chakra, but it's what he did with it that made him a bad mofo. Yeah sure, there were several ninjas who had way more chakra, but they still couldn't beat him. Minato was smart, fast and quick to make decisions. He was fourth Hokage for a reason. Orochimaru probably had bigger chakra, but Minato was strong for other reason. He also knew a bunch of Fuuinjutsu (or whatever it was called, the sealing jutsu) that he learned from Kushina's mother. I think the reason that he only had average chakra was what made him a great shinobi, but HE MADE IT COUNT. He took his average chakra and still could beat anybody in the leaf village, except maybe Sage mode Jiraiya.

The reasons why Minato became a fourth Hokage:

- Orochimaru had betrayed the third.
- Jiraiya was on his travels.
- Tsunade had left the village after Dan's death.
- Sarutobi was too old.

He's not average, haha, where did you get that from? Asuma is average. Minato's still very smart, plus none of his squad members could use FTG on their own, it required three of them. He's a genius in his own right.

But yeah, you can never trust the hype. That, plus the fact that he's one of the most overrated characters by his fanbase makes your expectations too high, so don't be disappointed. It's mostly Kishi's fault for handling him badly after his revival, anyway...

I mean it's kinda hard to "live up to the hype" when you're up against ninjas with SO6P injections. If he was up against anyone else he would solo them. How is he average again ?

Also others do know how to use the FTG but he is the best at it even better than Tobirama.. sounds pretty average alright

Minato is no average chakra ninja, he transported kyuubi's chakra bomb, defeated obito, transported the kyuubi, summoned the death god, and sealed the kyuubi without showing signs of tiredness, fact is kishi mishandled him like he has done with many edo tensei(Nagato, Hanzo, 2nd Mizukage, 2nd Tshushikage)

Okay Not average but he is the ideal ninja that many people can achieve if they were given the same spoon of sugar he had. He a great ninja, no doubt about that. Just not great enough for kakashi or other people people to claim that he was the one!

All orochimaru has is partial immortality, and all he does is fight with snakes, why is he rated so high??

lol He fearless. He is like hisoka from hunter x hunter. Just want to see what you got. He have never been at his best in nearly all his fights. Most of his fights, he was already half dead or dying due to a weak body. I feel like if he had gotten Sasuke's body, he would be able to hold his own against anybody in NV!

Not to mention part 1 Hashirama and Tobirama. And don't get me started on Edo Hanzo, still pisses me off. He was supposed to be a legend, a shinobi so beastly that he let JirTsuOro live just because they managed to survive longer than the other fodders, and named them sannin because of that accomplishment.

When he wanted to learn sage mode, his regular body couldn't handle it. But He nearly overthrown the hidden leaf village. That is leader qualities. He planned that shit out lovely! Also sat next to the 3rd hokage just chilling like a villain.
