So basically if any women from the street says a certain stranger raped me, they arrest him without legit evidence?
Dat money is not worth the 20 years which were wrongfully robbed from him. He lost his golden days for a crime he did not commit and Justice for all...

The average amount of money someone has to pay for HIV treatment a year is 20000$ divided from 9200000 is
460 which is If I'm correct the number of years he has to live in order to spend it all.

Maybe not, but it will allow him to live the rest of his life in comfort, pay the medical bills that his time in prison has caused him, support his family and allow him to have some taste of happiness, even if it is material.
The ignorance and lack of sympathy in some of the comments here is pathetic, they wouldn't be saying that is it was them though

I have always said this. The american "justice" system doesn't exist. No amount of money can make up for the years of life that he lost not to mention his morale and mentality. He was forcibly told he did this crime even though he never did. People seem to forget that"money makes the world go around"
What about accommodation? Feeding? Rehabilitation? Therapy which can spawn for many years! This mans anus was forcefully penetrated that alone is enough to leave him emotionally broken for the rest of his life. I imagine many people or maybe his family deserted him or gave up so much for him. What about them? Your comment is sad and ignorant. Quite sad that you took all that time to do those calculations.
So in according to your words this man's life is a mistake? His existence means nothing? All of your arguments are easy for you and anyone else to say because they are not in that man's position or state of mind. Mistakes are the bread and butter of "justice" in reality they don't care if they put an innocent person away because at the end of the day judges(PoS) and lawyers will get paid anyway. Dont defend what happened to this man and then try to justify it by saying "here were sorry for ruining your life now take this money and leave"

Nope, I respect the guy and I truly feel sorry for him but let's be real he isn't the only and he won't be so why give him special treatment?
And yeah what if he already was comfortable with his life ? What if he already could pay the bill?

Yor definition of justice is messed up, Him having all that money should somehow Represent justice? Ok if you think so.
The last generation to actually believe in women's rights were the baby boomer generation. After that women just want to be treated like queens and princess(F'n disney) If man says he was raped, police don't believe it and shug it off if a women cries rape the man is arrested without question and even before the allegations are fully interrogated.

Yeah it does. He was 18 meaning he had a chance to make a life for himself go to college get a degree and learn different attributes to get himself a good job. He spent those years in prison learning nothing more than a hardened life and always watching his back. How is he going to make it on the outside? Can he do what he dreamed of doing? You are not putting yourself in his shoes and trying to understand what happened to him. He was told and forced to believe that he raped someone when he knows that he didn't. Mentally he is more than messed up and yet you expect him to forget all this and move on with life? What life? it was robbed from him. Go to prison for 22 years of your life for something you didnt do then come back to me and say" Im ok with being wrongly incarcerated"

I do understand what you are saying, millions of people suffer everyday and many have suffered even more, why does this man get compensation and they don't. Better him than nobody I suppose.
