I think what it was is that everyone in his clan was just sick of war. To them, it mattered more to stop the fighting than to listen to Madara and that’s why if he did have any immediate family left, they were willing to shut him out rather than go back to fighting what they saw as a losing war

And his uncles probably had sons and daughters. And even if he didn't. There was a lot of direct family members he could still talk too even it wasn't them.
