The fear people had, prevented Genji to collect any info on the location of the Makaosu's hideouts, so he just spread the word he'd be waiting for them on an abandoned pirate ship, lost in the middle of a desert. After days of waiting, a men in shining armour appeared. It wasn't a member of the Makaosu, but

, the world wide known Dragon of the South, one of the 4 most powerful Samurais alive in our Era, along with the Shogun. Normally, Genji would immediately engage in battle, but seeing as Gray just wanted to participate in the battle and help destroying just another group, Genji let him join.

Both waited several weeks, with the food and drink supplies Genji brought with him.

Genji was smoking, laying on the Ship's Crow Nest, when he spotted someone coming...

With that Laxus drops his cloak to reveal a purple suit beneath it made out of the finest materials. Grinning as he feels his opponent is strong for claiming to be able to beat the Makaosu he grabs a katana from his hip and slams the sheath into the earth. He then proceeds to take a stance. Laxus quickly does the following starting by placing both his hands on the katana the moment has the katana. He move his right hand close to the tsuba and his left hand near the bottom. He makes sure the back of his right hand is facing upward and the back of his left hand is facing outward. After adjusting his grip swiftly he takes the stance. He move my sword four inches above his head keeping my hands and arms in proper form with his sword facing 135 degrees from the X axis backwards above his head. While he is adjusting his sword and multi tasking he is also adjusting his feet and body. He shift his left foot infront of his right foot and incline it a little so that he gains more balance and mobility. Keeping his weight on his right foot which is in the back he is also keeping his shoulders parallel to his knees and straightening his back until it is as straight as it can be. While doing this he watches you. He grins with a bloodlust look on his face.

Come Samurai, lets test out swordsman ship skills in combat.

If the outsiders had not been so fixated on who was climbing the stairs, they could've noticed a faint smirk on Genji's face. Finally after a period of time that had felt like hours, a well dressed man has reached their level and speaks up..

The only one who is deceiving himself is you!

The moment Laxus notices you changing his stance he gets ready for an attack. He notices your odd stance and thinks What is up with this guy... suddenly you whip around your sword moving down towards Laxus, going for the obvious defence he raises his sword to meet yours and all of the sudden yours deviates from its path coming around his blade. **** Laxus quickly tries to pivot while leaning his right shoulder back however still gets nicked by the blade creating a fair wound on his arm. He groans in pain. What was that? This is some weird swordsman... Hmph I gotta finish this before Gramps get mad, or before he pulls off some more crazy moves. Pretending to be tough Laxus puts a grin on his face and moves back as your sword goes down on his arm which will be moving slower then usual from here on out.

He lands further back from Genji's location. Time to go on the offensive. With his right hand feeling bad from the wound he drops his blade and instead withdraws a kunai. He whips one at your head, a clumsy shot. The kunai whizzes a bit to far to the left to your head about a foot to the left of your left ear. As soon as then kunai reaches the side of his opponents head Laxus forms a single handseal and disappears behind his opponent above his left shoulder and grabs the kunai as he intended all along. The moment he grabs the kunai he slashes downwards, however having miscalculated his trajectory the kunai would only manage to graze his opponents left shoulder right above the armpit and manage to only slightly make its way to cut less then an inch into his opponents flesh. As soon as he does that he flicks his wrist throwing his kunai back to his former location and forms the handseal once more to disappear and get to where he was earlier.

Looks like we are even. You got me, I got you. Want to get serious yet? I feel as if you aren't showing me your best.

Then i simply perform a right-left horizontal cut with great force, which is strong enough to literally cut you in half and comes directly from your side, not from the front.

This ability allows them to rely on smaller swords while retaining greater reach, damage, and surprise attacks as needed.(The technique is capable of countering Ninjutsu of A rank and below due to the chakra charge technique).

Laxus watches you intently as he moves back. In agony he grips his shoulder and sees you releasing your grip with one hand, with one hand on your blade he knows you may have more reach, with that he immediately drops his blade as Genji makes the slash. He forms a handseal and disappears using Swift. Damnit. He's fast and strong. At this rate with my shoulder I'm going down. he appears behind his opponent at mid range in the air. While in the air, he is completely silent and throws four shurikens precisely aimed all at your back. He uses both hands to throw them using his strong will for his village to ignore the painful wound. As soon as he releases the shurikens he dosen't hesitate to form a single handseal while flowing his chakra through the shurikens.

As he lands on the earth knowing your pre occupied with the shurikens he duplicates them hundreds of times having a wall of shurikens moving towards his opponent. Then he continues and manipulates their direction to form a dome around you only to attack you from all sides at the same time with the aim to kill you of course.
