Madara had his bro eyes
Pein had madara eyes
Sasuke got his but kicked by BEE
Every strong shinobi always had power ups.
Sage Mode is not base because you draw energy from around you but please explain to me how Eight Gates is not Base when all he is doing is increasing his strenth by unlocking HIS OWN RESTRICTIONS without external help?

That doesn't have much sense. I mean, to be honest I think base should be the stuff you learn and get through normal means, like genetic inheritance. If Gai learnt to use the Eight Gates or if the Uchiha learn to evolve their Sharingan with no external influence whatsoever (like genetic modification, gifts, etc), why wouldn't that be considered base?.

Non-base in that case would be stuff given to you by others or obtained from others, like Hanzo's Mokuton (or Yamato's mokuton), Madara's Mokuton, Kakashi's Sharingan, Nagato / Obito Rinnegan, and so on.

But well, I don't make the rules here.
