I'm pretty sure it's humans in general that believe magic is sketchy as f&#@.

With the exception of certain cultures anyway.

Although, a number of practices could be perceived as magic by other cultures which are unfamiliar with them. In fact, a little rectangle in your pocket which contains the collective knowledge of humanity seems pretty damn magical...

Way back before science, people had no way of knowing why certain things happened. Plague sweeps through your village? Must be the result of an external force (magic) cast by a witch. The more educated and powerful would use the fear of magic and witches to justify executions and such

Nothing wrong with any magic about more luck and money , communicating with higher beings about your destiny etc . Making a girl fall a love for exemple is changing her way and his condemnable . Most western peep haven't seen any of this anyway.

Well, I don't think anyone lately has seen someone fret over the concept of magic to the point that they want to pull out their torches and pitchforks like back in the olden days.

My opinion, people often fear things they don't understand. Historically, magic has been associated with anything foreign, mysterious, and just plain strange or out of the ordinary. And when society was confronted with this so called "magic", society fought back. Need a historical example, look at the Salem Witch Trials, looking at it today, we see that people were trying to deal with something they didn't understand and associated it with magic, and it came with terrible consequences.

This is just something my mind thought upon with considering this question, just an opinion.

I grew up in Georgia. They banned Harry Potter from our elementary school when I was a kid because parents were worried that their children would become devil worshipers. Not even kidding

Well, religions like Christianity and Islam forbid magic because it's believed to come from the devil (not too sure about Christianity). In Islam, it is believed that magic was placed on Earth, simply as a test of faith to see if you would avoid it.

i don't see how magic is the work of Lucifer but apparent God condemns witchcraft, although i believe in God i don't agree with everything he says and does in Fact i would even say that God is't perfect and that he is just as flawed as us Human Beings.
