Tobi's is similar to Kakashi's but not the same if they had the same technique then Tobi wouldn't need to get close to absorb them. Kakashi has a reverse version of Tobi's space-time. Kakashi does have a hidden realm but I don't think he can suck himself.

I think Kakashi's is better because he could do it instantly he could drag it to follow you if only he could get EMS.
BUT Madara's technique makes him almost invincible O.O

the 2 may actually be the same technique. The difference is, that Tobi definitely has had much longer training with his, and certainly seems able to use his for longer periods of time. Kakashi is still learning his, and can only use it a little bit before he's exhausted from it's use.

Or they could be completely different.

Tobi's is without a doubt an alternate dimension.

Yet Kakashi's could just be a pin point of intense gravity. which would explain why it doesn't suck things in whole, but rather breaks them apart.

of course I'm not sure how that theory holds up if you account for the pain attack on konoha, where he used it to avoid the nail sent at him from yahiko's pain.

They certainly LOOK similar when being used.

It would almost seem to lend some creedance to the theory of Obito having an older brother who escaped the uchiha massacre. except that I'm pretty sure he'd be blind from MS by now if that were true.

kakashis is to an alternative dimension to wat do u mean by pin point of intense gravity
thinking about black holes is all.

one theory that was prominent for many years and recently fallen out of favor with the scientific community. Is that Black holes were wormholes to other dimensions. That should one manage to survive the intense gravity of the event horizon they would go to a parallel dimension, or another galaxy, ect and so forth. If kakashi's Kamui is using pin point of intense gravity, IE small black hole, then his dialog still fits, while also explaining the difference between the two techniques.

it's just something I thought of about 2 minutes ago, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it. But it is a thought.
