Madara's reasoning..

So for those that have read on in the manga and read Chapter 509 I believe it is, i have a question...

Madara said that it was he who gave the rinnegan to Nagato in the first place, but how is it that Madara attained the rinnegan? That, and if he had it in the first place, why not just use it himself? Was it because he needed Nagato to sync with Gedo Mazo?

I think that at the time he wouldve given nagato the rinnegan his body still wasnt strong enough to be able to use it himself.
I also think that the negatives of syncing with gedo mazo are too much for madara to handle on his own, hence him needing a strong young person to sync with it for him.

idk good question but it makes sense why he would want nagato to have the rinnegan since he had that jutsu that can revive people as backup in case he died or something (which he himself mentions in the manga)

Oh i didn't know that Nagato was able to use that technique regardless of having the rinnegan or not. in other words i mean i thought that the technique came with the effects of having the rinnegan.
