Now I know a lot of you think that Madara's indifference is over-the-top at this point but you should really think about his motivations before you criticise him. So at the latest chapter we saw that madara didn't do anything at all and there are reasons for that.

1. His huge arrogance. At this point he might be the strongest ninja that exists. Sure Hashirama is strong but when they used to fight, the former didn't have rinnegan. He doesn't believe that there is a reason to fight with small fish while he has in front of him the big one, and he's so confident about his powers that he can't believe that there might be a problem.

2. Madara's sole aim is to fight and defeat Hashirama. That was the reason why he put in action the plan of Infinitive Tsukuyomi in the first place. Do you remember his words to Obito? The world is divided into winners and losers Madara always was the one to loose against Hashirama and so his plan had only as aim to be for once the winner. He doesn't care about the success of Infinitive Tsukuyomi, in fact he couldn't care less now that he has once again the chance to fight against Hashirama. That, or he's certain that Juubi is too powerful for them to handle it.

3. You could say, "why he doesn't kill some ninja for fun or force Hashirama to fight him that so much he wants?" Well, Madara is of the old school. He wants to take his time with the things. He wants to fight with hashirama but while the later is at his full force and only when he has his complete attention. If he tries to attack him while the later is not done with the Juubi, then he knows that he won't have his full attention and therefore their fight won't be very enjoyful or fair since hashirama will have different things to care about.

So to sum up, if you really consider his personality it's not so strange to understand his reactions. I mean, he does things that no one else would ever do. He effortlessly defeated all the 5 kages but they weren't even worth his time to finish them off. If you remember after his susanoo disappeared because of stopping the edo tensei, he lost his interest and was about to leave and he only continued because Ohnoki didn't allow him to do so. In an interview Kishimoto stated that everyone has a weakness but Madara has none. Well in our case his sole weakness is his overconfidence and let's be realists, he' s not the only one in the entire series. Take for example Orochimaru, he bluntly attacked Hiruzen and he lost his ability to use jutsu, he bluntly attacked Itachi and he lost one of his hands without being able to lay a hand on the later and he left Sasuke to get so strong and he so weak that at the end he lost even to him, who at that point was considered inferior. In other words, Madara is another Orochimaru, only that he is way stronger and he has some morals and some code of honor in his fights while Orochimaru wouldn't stop to anything for his ambitions.

Madara has lost his mind . He is just overrating himself IMO .

He thinks that he can solo the Hokages himself without Juubi's help .

Edo Hashi and Edo Minato >>>>> Edo Madara U_U

Well you never really know. He hasn't used many offensive rinnegan techniques so far but he still was able to go on par and overpower easily immensely strong shinobi and in all cases he was severely outnumbered.

I agree but this is the case with the majority of villans in all series' for example in a film when the villan has the opportunity to kill the hero but just stands there talking is because they can not think of any way that the hero could escape the situation.

True but then again that's why they are badasses. On the other hand, since I talked about madara, I don't think that Obito would keep a similar position at all.

Agree with first two points mate, not sure about the third one fully but yeah he is definitely old school mofo.Anyway if his original plan was to defeat hashi in genjutsu world by making him less powerfull than Madara then that's kinda lame :p

Maybe but don't try to make sense with the Uchiha, they're all nutcases=D. Sasuke changed from destroying the village into wanting to become its hokage :p

I am seriously thinking that Madara and Sasuke are more connected than we think

I think he is doing nothing because a part of his plan is playing out.
I don't know if Sasuke is his backup plan for Obito
but
I think they are connected
