I'm not sure who you're talking about. If The Rikudou iirc he wasn't a ninja, but a priest. If Obito he has failed many times.
- Failed to defeat guy twice.
- Failed in his assault on Konoha.
- Failed to become an item with Rin.
- Failed to complete Moons eye.

I could go on...not being rude, but everyone fails.

Also....I didn't say as much as Madara. I said a ninja that has not failed.

It's not bad to fail sometimes, but Madara has a record. He has more fails than success, unlike Obito;

AkatsukiChurch: The VIZ translation made it clear Madara was not fighting for real after breaking the gate seal. It's in fact his didn't feel the excitement. Both MP and MS translated wrong. He could have broke it anytime, but chose don't to as he knew he would break it the moment he is revived.

Can't complain. Obito would've trolled him pretty hard,if not for Kabuto bringing him back. And even when he did brought him back he doesn't had the balls to go up against Obito in his healthy state. He tried gaining control over him twice when one time he was on death bed and other time he couldn't even move due to Bijus extraction.

When it comes to "Master Planner","Master Manipulator" and "Master Achiever" the award goes to Obito Uchiha {the dude became second only to bind Jubi by his will alone apart from SO6P}.

Hard work? Obito attempted to capture 1 bijuu, and failed in the process. The result from that is him hiring some goons (Akatsuki) to hunt the bijuu's for him, because he lacked power. Obito in actuality did not successfully capture anything by himself, he needed the help of the entire Akatsuki + Kabuto. To top it all off, he didn't complete his mission. He only obtained 7 bijuu, a tentacle and a couple of Kyuubi chakra from Kin and Gin. He didn't obtain the entire 9. The worst part of it is that Obito needed a fodder like Darui to seal Kin and Gin inside the gourd. All Obito had to do was steal it when he wasn't looking. Such hard work right?
