Ok so I have a theory and I’ve looked around on the forums and honestly i couldn’t find something like this thread...

Now my theory about madaras plan to "make himself complete"..like when he told this to kakashi and yamato at the land of iron...i think he doesn’t want sasuke to leave his site because he want his body....that’s why he wanted to implant itachis eyes as soon as possible, that why he is willing to see him fight either with danzo or raikage, 'cuz he want sasuke to power up..

And furthermore, he add to my theory.. When his master plan, the eye moon plan (or whatever) has the eternal Tsukuyomi right in the middle of it, i mean he can use that jutsu... and how can? SASUKE can!!!...

So that why i think hes right now like an spirit or soul..

When madara fighted fuu and torune, torune infected madaras arm and he just removed that arm and that’s it!!!...he must not have a real body or when madara fought the 4th hokage he survived a rasengan in the back...

So that’s why i believe he wants the perfect uchiha body with an E.M.S. and as well tsukuyomi jutsu...

i really lyk your theory and it is possible but didnt madara say sumthing about getting sasuke to fuse with the gedo or something lyk tht because pain is dead now

I can see how that would be a popular theory, but to me Madara wouldnt NEED a zetsu clone. If Madara said that even with the powers we've seen hes only a shell of his former shell, and THAT was a clone, then why would he need a clone in the first place? And if it is a clone, then that would mean that Madara is not as powerful as the clone posing as him (otherwise he wouldnt send a clone), which would mean that Madara could make clone(s) of himself that are far more powerful than himself... which is just messed up if you ask me

no its more along the lines of madara using a white zetsu body to house his soul in a way. like a shell of his former self being that its a large amount of his powers may not be there, but still a great amount of ability. its not cloning HIM its cloning zetsu and using it as a "shell"

Nobody has ever wanted the Uchiha for their bodies, it's all about the eyes. Orochimaru wanted to use his forbidden jutsu to take Sasuke's body, so that the eyes would work for him as though he were Sasuke. If he'd simply transplanted Sasuke's sharingan then he'd suffer the same drawbacks as Kakashi. Tobi however is already an Uchiha, and presumably if he transfers Sasuke's EMS to himself it will work for him as though it were his own. The Uchiha are descendants of the elder brother who inherited the Sage's eyes, it's the Senju line who possess the ideal body - and Tobi already has that covered with Hashirama's DNA.
