i recently re-read the fight oro against sarutobi and it somehow surprised me that the third was catched by the genjutsu which turned everything black. furthermore, it was the first who performed it.
i havn't any proof, but i always assumed that madara's teleport-block works via sharingan with some 360? improvement. the fourth said "he saw through every move i made", so i thought madara used sharingan to see through ts-jutsu and let the part of the body evade.
based on that his whole teleportation doesnt work if he cant "see" what the enemy is doing.
we have seen sasuke see through the light-genjutsu performed by one of raikages companions, but still he was about a second slower than he would have been otherwise, so obviously breaking genjutsu takes a second or two which someone like shodaime might use.
