What about this villain?

Ramen Guy is more of a villain than this dude.

Except the IT has no good intentions.

OT: His plan goes against Human Rights, he enjoys crushing skulls, he killed thousands of innocent people, and he manipulated children to do his bidding. Yes, he's evil and is proud of it.

You clearly missed the entire reason why Madara and Obito wanted IT. In their distorted minds, it was the way to bring about peace. Does it make it right? No it doesn't. Hence the phrase I used...good intent (to bring about peace) but doing it in the wrong manner.

That's not how you judge evil. You don't just look at what the individual thinks about his plans; you look at the actual reality and what other people think about it. For Madara and Obito? Yes, since they came up with the plan. For everyone else? Nope.

Since this thread is about whether he's evil or not, we look at his actions and what people thought about him; and he's evil in that regard.

everyone has reasons. Some villain's reason is that they've sadism. Some are egomaniacs. Every villains has a reason.

Strange. No where in the title or the original post did I see the OP specify if Madara's actions were evil. S/he simply made a statement that Madara wasn't evil because he was a victim and I added a phrase to support this statement. The debate between good vs. evil isn't limited to actions. If that's the case, then anyone who's killed a bug is evil. A life is a life afterall so you can't quantify one as greater than the other.

All the OP asked is, if he's evil or not. What you're basically saying is, we judge Madara for what he thinks about himself. All villains are deluded and have brain issues. So instead of judging him for what he thinks, we judge him for what he did. What did he do? Brainwashed children for his future plans, killed thousands of innocent people, and so on. If you want to judge him on his mindset, it's also evil. Firstly, IT is a lying world. Secondly, no one wishes to be in that world. Fact of the matter is, Madara forces people to come to his Jutsu, which means he violates Human Rights. Added with his other actions, he's evil.

How do you think court judges murderer, rapist, thief? They judge them on what they did, not what the criminal thinks about themselves. So, we do the same to Madara.

Killing a bug is nowhere near as killing thousands and thousands of people, and violating Human Rights. Your analogy is incorrect.

Yeah they find pleasure in destruction. That's their reason.

My analogy is very valid as I made the point of at the end of the day, you ended a life and that doesn't make you evil.

You're making this a black and white issue when it isn't. Using your analogy, there's degrees on how murders and the like are convicted...and those degrees are based on intent and circumstance. Manslaughter vs. murder...one has intent one does not but the same actions yield the same result of taking a life. Does that make both people equally evil?

It depends on the life of who you ended. But in Madara's case, he ended innocent lives: one just to test his power, two is to have fun, three is to ensure his IT. And your analogy is a bug? Bugs can infect humans, so by killing them you're saving yourself. So as I said: your analogy is incorrect and invalid.

Are they evil in the regard of taking their lives for either their evil propaganda? Yes. Equally? No, as the other has took more lives and will be judged on that. Obviously the sentence for person killing 1 person will be less than the person who is mass murderer.

He wasn't evil. He was a victim of hardship and manipulation. Just like Nagato, just like Obito. He was definitely insane though.
