No, it wore off due to his sickness/the corresponding strain it put on his body. The fact that Susano'o began to wear off after he clutched his chest and coughed up blood proves that.

Sasuke wasn't completely blind when using his Susano'o at the Bridge. It deactivated due to strain on his eyes, and on his body, as he had been using it for a long time, just like what happened to Itachi. He was able to keep it up for longer because he wasn't sick. He could still see.

I often get tired of explaining this. Tobirama stated that the brains of Uchiha produce a special chakra into the eyes after traumatic experiences. This special chakra induces a change in the eyes. Susano'o is a manifestation of that chakra. The eyes are not required, unlike a technique such as Amaterasu, which needs eye contact. Itachi did use Susano'o for some time while blind, and then eventually lost the efficient levels to keep it up.

Doesn't explain why Sasuke was unable to use Susanoo after he became blind. Itachi's susanoo gradually wore off after he became blind, but Itachi's susanoo was activated before he became blind. Madara had no eyes to activate susanoo. Where has Itachi and Sasuke activate susanoo without their eyes? Madara was a clear exception

From an earlier thread, I asked how Madara used Susanoo without eyes, and I got replies such as

"You don't need eyes to activate susanoo, because it's a manifestation of chakra. Eyes are irrelevant after unlocking it"

If eyes are needed only to unlock Susanoo, how come it put strain on Sasuke's eyes? It's clear that susanoo affects the eyes in some way even after unlocking it. Sasuke was forced to deactivate susanoo when he was becoming blind and feeling pain in his eyes. Susanoo definitely requires eyes and damages the users eyesight if he uses it for too long. The same for all MS jutsu. Unless of course you have Hashirama's cells like Obito. Itachi was able to use Susanoo for a while after death because it was already active when he was fighting Sasuke. Amaterasu can also remain active even after the user is blind. Doesn't mean you can use Amaterasu again after you've become blind. This is my interpretation.

Anybody has explanation?

Doesn't take away the eye part. He didn't stop using chidori after he became nearly blind. Susanoo was the case that was hurting his eyes and body.

It wasn't explained, and it never will be. Just crappy writing, like the huge majority of the war arc.

Nope. Sasuke said only those who can use the power of MS can use this power. That doesn't mean it comes from eye- but rather that Susanoo is a power which needs a certain level of control and ability to manifest and handle it. And this explanation only got better support when later on Madara was able to use it blind- because he already had develped the ability and practice to control MS and much more.

Doesn't take away the eye part. He didn't stop using chidori after he became nearly blind. Susanoo was the case that was hurting his eyes and body.

A requires much less chakra than the new level of Susano'o he was just trying to access. The chakra he had was not sufficient to keep it up, and needed up costing him some of his sight.
