Why do you think that it's called ''Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan''?

i know why its called Eternal but you must also understand that Izanagi is a FORBIDDEN jutsu. Whether its just a Sharingan, an MS or an EMS, Izanagi and Izanami will take the light away!!! Think of it, if Madara used Izanagi on Hashirama and he never lost the light of his eye, there is NO WAY he wold have lost that fight... no way!!! :sy:

It's not like he can spam it, there must be a timelimit for that jutsu too. Danzo was able to use Izanagi 10 times, but Sasuke won the battle. Madara can use it like one time in a battle.

Has ANYONE read my explanation ? Madara DID lose his light, but the Edo Tensei has revived him beyond his prime, meaning his eyes have been revived aswell.

In the Hashi vs Madara fight, i cant really comprehend how Madara simply 'survived' against the strongest kage of all time, took his DNA, unlocked rinnegan, and then died.

At the end of the fight, i think he may have used Izanagi to escape death just at the right moment to escape, fooling Hashi and the entire ninja world.
Its still a mystery how he died, he could have died from too much stress of Hashi's cells, blood loss, unlocking the rinnegan etc.

Now that his an edo, his eyes would have been have been ressurected along with the rest of his body seeing as his been 'completed beyond what he was in his prime'

The one thing to remember with Edo Tensei is that it resurrects the target as they were at the time of death.

I'm siding with those who say that using a Forbidden Technique such as Izanagi will permenantly seal the eye that uses it. Those of you saying "EMS has a light that never fades" must remember that this catchphrase is used to describe how an Uchiha who has gained the MS will eventually lose their sight, whilst gaining the EMS will stop this descent into blindness.

If Madara had used Izanagi with his fight against Hashimara, when rebirthed as an Edo, that very same eye WILL be locked out, Rinnegan or not.

Common sense, but if you still don't get it, let me explain it to you.

1) Madara indeed awakened the rinnegans, but if Nagato awakened his own rinnegans, where the hell Madara's eyes disappeared?

2) We have never seen Nagato's rinnegans being deactivated, and as we know, transplanted eyes can't be deactivated.

3) Tobi said that he gave the rinnegans to Nagato.

Danzo was able to use it plenty of times because you well know he had 10 Sharingans in his arm. Thats not the discussion here. The issue is whether using EMS used Izanagi. As i said it is hard to make a concrete statement on that because we don have enough reference material to make an assumption like that. Izanagi is a Kinjitsu. The only person i know to have used it and POSSILY suffer no ill effects is the SO6P himself during "Creation of All Things - 万物創造, Banbutsu Sōzō) even that we do not know how it went down. The Sages eyes were beyond EMS so they must have endured this jutsu. So for me it would be hasty to jump to the conclusion that Izanagi using EMS leaves the eye okay
