Madara used Izanagi when he fought Hashi!

In the Hashi vs Madara fight, i cant really comprehend how Madara simply 'survived' against the strongest kage of all time, took his DNA, unlocked rinnegan, and then died.

At the end of the fight, i think he may have used Izanagi to escape death just at the right moment to escape, fooling Hashi and the entire ninja world.
Its still a mystery how he died, he could have died from too much stress of Hashi's cells, blood loss, unlocking the rinnegan etc.

Now that his an edo, his eyes would have been have been ressurected along with the rest of his body seeing as his been 'completed beyond what he was in his prime'

It's a tricky question. It's said that the price of using Izanagi is losing the light of your sharingan, but it's also said that Eternal Mangekyo has light that never fades away.

It's said ems never loses lts light. I think it may have a cooldown period instead of losing the eye for an ems user. We can't be sure unless Madara or Sasuke confirm it.

i think the second part f your statement basically refers to the continued use of the sharingan. that's from what i understand when Itachi said it. unfortunately we have never seen an EMS that's been used for Izanagi... the closest is Izanami and it was only Mangekyou Sharingan of Itachi and we haven't yet seen the end result. To compound it he is an edo which might bring back the eye altogether

Maybe unlocking the Rinnegan has something to do with using Izanagi ? Or if you unlock the rinnegan the eye is revived.. who knows
