I have a few things that I would like to share that I do believe about Madara.
I think that Madara no longer has the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, or it is in a much weaker state.
He has stated that he is a husk of his former self. Itachi has stated that he is far weaker; nothing in comparison.
We have only seen his right eye. Not just that, but there is only one eye hole. I think that Madara took over Obito's body. Obito no longer has his left eye because of Kakashi. I think that Madara could have revived his crushed eye and body and transferred his consciousness into it. I believe that the Kakashi Gaiden is more meaningful than we know.
We have also seen that Kakashi is able to use Obito's eye. His mangekyo is a space and time one, and we have seen Tobi/Madara use space and time ninjutsu. We have also never seen Tobi/Madara's mangekyo(of course I mean in the Tobi form). I wouldn't be surprised to see the same as Kakashi's.
Madara like Kakashi could have awoken Obito's Mangekyo sharingan in the same way.
We also know that the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan grants the holder immortality. Although, when we have seen Tobi take off his mask, he has wrinkles. I think this is because he is not anymore immortal.
I think that that is Obito's Mangekyo special ability and that Kakashi has awoken it to some extent and Madara has, too. I really don't think that Madara's style of fighting when we see him against the first is like that of Tobi's. I don't think he did space and time ninjutsu.
Also, I think that firstly one must have the eternal mangekyo sharingan to control the tailed beasts(mostly the nine tailed fox). I think that he is now unable to do so. This would explain to some degree why he uses the members of Akatsuki to take the host rather than him controlling them and taking them himself.
I think that now Madara wants to become whole again by reviving and becoming the host of the juubi. I think that this will allow his to fight as he did before, but with the Juubi as well.
This is just speculation. I am interested in hearing what others think of these ideas.
