Not sure f you meant to post that scan twice but a juubi Jin doesn't die when the bijuus are extracted because the gedo mazo is left in the Jin but with madara the gedo mazo and the bijuus were extracted

Its called plot shield. Both Naruto and Obito were protected by the plot. Madara no longer serves a purpose in the series, so Kishimoto has to reason to keep him alive.
