Also people also need to remember that Obito was using kamui seconds after first awakening his Mangekyo. Madara was the leader of the entire uchiha clan, there's no reason to not expect him to know any and everything about his clans powers.

Madara is not a juubi Jin like obito , otherwise why does their form seem different , (I use minato and naruto who were both kyuubi jins and looked the same )

i don't recall Madara ever being seen saying he taught Obito how to use his ability to corral Kurama the way he was able to.
