[Theory] Madara Killed Rin

Madara killed Rin to help twist Obito to what he wanted Obito to be. Obito doesn't know, but will find out, and will then be all boo hoo and grrr.

i think obito killed rin because he was like to Kakashi im back because you didnt protect Rin and he obviously witnessed some1 close to him die to awaken MS so he prob done it

Possible. Off topic, I think people need to steer away from thinking that Rin's death is Obito's sole cause for starting the war. It's more likely the impetus for his turn to evil. Consider that Nagato's turn to evil was dependent on Yahiko's death, but it wasn't really the cause for his activities in Tobi's Akatsuki.

well, sure. rin's death may have just been the catalyst for his change, or it could be the entire reason. we don't know yet. but, killing rin to use her as a catalyst for obito's change makes sense, no?

I have a feeling madara might of killed rin and manipulated obito into believing how she died and might do a whole redemption for obito such as he will sacrifice his life to defeat madara and a becomes a anti-hero at the end.

True but wasn't it to unlock the MS you had to witness some1 close to you die, so couldn't possibly obito see that rin died for his MS to unlock

I've thought about this theory but I doubt it, Madara isn't one to hunt down a Random Chunin in the hopes it would unlock MS, I still believe Obito would have to play a part in the death of the person that dies. And I'm sure if Madara killed her not only would Obito know but Kakashi and the Leaf would know and would have been bound to have been brought up by now, and Obito wouldn't be working with Madara if that was the case.

To OP, cant possibly be Madara who killed her, remember Obito said to Kakashi that he let her die so its obvious it wasnt Madara.

Kakashi either did something and Rin died and Obito was told about it later and he doesnt know the whole truth behind what happened...or Madara has somehow framed Kakashi and Obito into thinking Kakashi was the one responsible for the death, he might have worked it out to where...depending on how she died, Kakashi could really think it was his fault even if its not.

This is jumping the gun though, they would have had to have done a major amount of brainwashing to get Obito to the state he's in. Its probably safe to assume Obito didn't have anything to do with her death, or he could have been responsible and hes now mindscrewing Kakashi
