1st you get the clone to receive whatever etxra chakra it is trying to get. Then the original disperses it and that chakra is tranferred to the original. Hashirama's original never used the Kyuubi chakra. Why? Becasue his clone was using it while the Orginal fought Madara and at half power no less since chakra is distributed evenly amongst each other.

hashirama is as much a senju as madara is an uchiha, both having gained powers at birth due to being descendants of the sage

if hashirama is lucky to have mokuton, then madara is lucky to have gained MS and lucky that he had a brother who also conveniently had a MS and died before him thereby leaving him with EMS

hashirama simply found a way to enhance his inherited powers, like madara he is the peak of his clan but he did not take or attempt to take more juubi related powers but only worked with what he had

this is flawed madara trained to attain his powers whereas hashirama inherited mokuton and could fuse the elements without going through training to acheive new heights.
