They are actually. Madara eyes aren't better. There's obviously things unsolved about the sharingan and almost every other thing Kishi keeps avoiding.

madara is blind he's been revived by rinne tensei but the eyes he had as an edo are just fakes created by kabuto for the edo tensei i guess cause madras real eyes are one in obits left socket and the other is wherever obito is keeping it so now that he's really back his fake edo rennigan disappears and he has to get his real eyes back which is what zetsus doing. idk if that made sense but its whats happening

PS: That also shows that Senju cells were needed to awaken rinnegan. - Madara got it after implanting only as he waited Senju cells to take effect. Random but I saw the argument at someplace else..

It's quite obvious that Madara doesn't have eyes and he's waiting for Zetsu to fetch his Rinnegan from Obito, but with Minato and Kakashi in the way, Black Zetsu opted to momentarily possess Obito to fend them off, and there is also the matter of the other Rinnegan Eye that could possibly be stashed away inside Obito's Kamui Dimension (the same way his supply of Uchiha Sharingans are stored there)

There's also the matter of Obito's death and final act of redemption, the Kamui Dimension itself was modeled after Japanese Graveyards:

So I can't imagine Obito leaving a corpse behind in the battlefield that Kakashi can bury afterwards, more likely that he's going to die inside the Kamui Dimension locking Black Zetsu and the Rinnegan with his corpse forever, foiling Madara's plan one last time.

We actually have no confirmed data on what condition Madara died or what are the consequences of Kabuto's 'Modification' ...... So its not good to make statements based on such unstable grounds.
