Just killed him? You make it sound that simple, it took the entire alliance to simply take the Juubi away. Then they focused on Madara but he became the Jin before anyone could do anything.

Because it is so simple. Reread that chapter. Sasuke/Kakashi was going to finish him off after the extraction.
