However, somehow Madara prevented him from doing so. In fact, look at Sasuke's confusion. He doesn't even know why he can't defend himself. Madara's stab was slower than Danzo's swing being that it took Madara a whole sentence to complete the stab.

Actually that was an edjucated guess based on previous intel he got from Kabuto. Since he had already seen a clone of Naruto he could tell it was a clone by the chakra level. He can see ASKS if it's a clone, he doesn't declare it.

There's not indication Madara knew the Naruto he was facing was a clone after he tried summon the Kyuubi.

No he didn't ask if Naruto was a clone. Kabuto stated that Naruto was a clone without Madara asking the question.

Are you serious... I stated I was talking about what Madara said to Obito in the page YOU linked when I said Madara stated Naruto was a clone. This was based off of having already met a confirmed clone. Confirmed by Kabuto in the link I posted.

It might just be that Sasuke is using a genjutsu, and Madara saw through it, so he simply took control over the genjutsu to show that he is the strongest. This is the typical way for Uchiha's to engage in battle.

Haha, yeah cause I didn't make a theory for years, because anything is possible in this manga lately. Kishi says one thing is not possible, and then he makes it possible anyway. You cannot do solid theories with such a basis. Anyway, no good theories are made regarding Naruto anymore, because of that, and because we know almost everything now, those that are being made are more philosophical theories. Theories based on material from single chapters are just a waste of time. U_U
