Chapter 637 confirms Madara is becoming serious to his actions now.
I've made theories about Madara's "trump card to be". But something clicked when I read the *********** translations.

Madara from the start planned for Obito to become the Sage of the Six paths as well as the Juubi's Jinchuuriki.
While fighting with the Alliance he mocked Obito by saying that he has to become the Juubi's Jinchuuriki to gain mastery over the Juubi. And that is why, Obito decided to become the Juubi's Jinchuuriki before activating the Moon Eye Plan

Madara waited for Obito to become weak. And that's when Madara tried to take over Obito. But instead he just wanted Obito to believe that he's being controlled to activate the Jutsu. But Obito reacted back and became the Juubi's Jinchuuriki. Madara controlled Obito's body but not his hands. And that is why Obito was able to make the hand signs to become the Juubi's Jinchuuriki. Madara could have stopped Obito from doing the wrong hand signs but he didn't. It was just a decoy. Remember Madara's smile for the failure of not being resurrected with Rinne Tensei ?

But now in the current chapter when Obito has sealed the Juubi inside himself as well as still unconscious to fight back against Madara's will, Madara has a 100 percent chance to control Obito's body and resurrect himself. Madara is worried and got serious to avoid Obito getting stronger as well as come to senses. So now Madara is free to be resurrected into Obito's body directly as the Juubi's Jinchuuriki.

You could be right, but the Juubi may be an intelligent being capable of speech. I think it is controlling Obito's body but doesn't know, that's why it's like "O...bi...to..?" I could be wrong. We'll find out next week maybe. Good thread.

Madara is HIGHLY underestimating the JUUbi

No I don't think so because, Obito and Madara controlled the Juubi before also. And Juubi do not have its own mind. Madara might be knowing that Obito won't be able to control the Juubi's power once he becomes its Jinchuuriki.

So what your saying the Juubi's current mindless nature is overlapping on obito and madara will use this chance to take over him with his will ?

Makes sense when you lay it out like that.

I wouldn't mid if that happened

It sounds very plausible and I personally wouldn't doubt it, considering the fact that we're talking about the man who caused chaos just by having his name present several years after his death.

And that is why he wanted to play with Hashi until Obito arrives. He could have continued playing with Hashi but Obito came out like a dying man. That's why he put forth his next step.

Agreed. Also, on a second thought, another thing that can support this theory is Naruto's claim about Obito using hand-seals for a Jutsu other than Rinne Tensei, which doesn't necessarily have to mean that Obtio defied Madara's will; it could mean that it was what Madara wanted from the start. And maybe that's why he was so calm and why he joked about his failure.

I don't think so... I believe that the Jyubi really does have its own mind just like the rest of the biju... I also believe that the Jyubi is controlling Obito and Madara's "Trump Card" is something else... And also Obito has never shown any indication of having Tsukuyomi so how would The Eye of the Moon Plan work... I think tht Obito had another plan in mind...

Then the hand seals made could have been fast. It seemed like Obito was dying to make the hand seals and Madara was trying to stop him. But Obito ran into Madara's trap.

Maybe or not. Lets wait for 639 or may be further chapters.

and you are highly underestimating madara. he is the only person to unlock sages eyes.

madara gave nagato his eyes.

Op- i agree with everything except the whole obito being the s06p.

He let obito become the jinchurkin, but idk why just yet.

I'd normally agree with this, if it weren't for the fact that Madara actually showed up himself, essentially taking over for Obito as the main leading figure of the war to continually push his plan. If Madara had remained a shadowy figure all throughout, I'd agree that Obito is the main antagonist, but the fact remains that he actually showed up himself and his character is even fully explored to solidify his presence. Not to mention, Madara's influence is ultimately what led Obito to do the things he did. Despite being more prominently shown in the series, Obito is treated almost as a second-in-command to Madara. This is very evident in the way they interact each other. Sure Obito is doing this based on his own reasons, but it ultimately makes him an enforcer of Madara's plans and not necessarily based on his own separate one. Heck he even pretended to be "Madara" on behalf of Madara, so Madara's presence and influence is definitely felt throughout the series even before his actual in-person appearance. While I agree that Madara can technically be considered as the main antagonist of the series, I think that Obito's role as a major antagonist should still be noted (just like with Orochimaru and Nagato):cool::cool::cool:

The theory is quite good. But it doesn't have much sense if it was the Juubi who took control over Obito and not otherwise. We have to wait and see if it was really Obito the one who absorbed the Juubi and not the Juubi itself who wanted to be complete again...

PS: Under the current state of Obito (just before turning into a Jinchuuriki), I highly doubt he had the capacity to become the Jinchuuriki by his current means...
