Okay is it just me or does Madara have zero depth to his character. He is powerful and flashy but that's it, he's had no development of shades of grey ever since he was introduced.

What made the villians interesting in Naruto (at least in my eyes was how human and complicated they were). Kishi gave them depth and emotion.

Madara hasn't even shown any human emotions since his resurrection except for his ego. No real anger or joy or anything.

So far he has basically been a manga monster or a plot mechanic, he explains things and plays mister big bad guy.

One of the reasons I think Kishi gave Madara Wood Release was to show us what Hashirama's abilities are.

Madara has not even given us the slightest clue about what brought him to the Moon's eye Plan. He also hasn't even done anything important. The major characters that he has tried to kill are still alive (as far as we know, yes I mean the five Kage's).

What do you all think? This is just me hoping we get much needed development on Madara.

Your mom's flat.

OMF. This just killed me...

OT: I don't like Madara, he's my last fav character and I agree. He just seems to be a power hungry freak who wants to take over the world.

as of now, he kind of is for the reasons you stated and he'll hopefully get more development.

Yeah, Madara is definitely developmentally challenged. .____.

He's got a Hashirama boob? That's at least a C cup.

OT: The most emotion I've seen from him is when he said "Oh well."

Finally somebody notices. He never has much to say, but when he does its either about Hashirama, or answering a question, or making a quick insult. He hardly ever shows any emotion. It's kinda annoying. I'd like him to have atleast one chapter where he has a lot of commentary.

What development? All the info on Madara basically say he wants power no matter what. Why does he want power? What led him to the eye of the moon plan? Why did he even bother to extend his life if he was trapped in a cave? Every other character at least we have some idea about them. Madara doesn't even show emotions.

True, just a power hungry freak and dumb fan him just because he has flashy things to show in a battle and just go DBZ style... No personality effects, no character type effects...

Just Madara = power level > that of NV...

And your point is.. ?.. He wants power.. He saved Obito.. If you had paid attention to the stories told about his past you would've understood. And he wanted the power because he believed "Power" is what leads to peace.. not love. And wait till those questions are answered sheesh. Doesn't show emotions? lmaoo ;x okkkman.

He left the villiage when he couldn't become Hokage then returned years later to destory it. He hated the Senju clan he wanted to keep fighting, he was against the truce. He kills people because he thinks its fun. That does not sound like someone interested in peace.

I mean I get your point, but I think that its more because of the fact he hasn't had much development. Its coming it just hasn't actually happened yet, all we've really had is second hand information and fight scenes.

I do think even though we haven't had much about him we have had some interesting parts. I like his nostalgia over his rivalry with Hashirama that we got allusions to in the five kage fight. In some ways it seems that Madara regrets "winning" or better yet outliving Hashi even though it was always his goal to beat him.

And then there is obviously his interactions with Obito when he is talking about the way the world works and "winners and losers" stuff. We're not really sure if that is manipulation or how he feels yet, but either way it is very interesting.

Tl;dr: hasn't happened yet but it's coming

I hope your right. One of the appeals of this manga in my eyes has always been the humanisation of the villians.
