MAC OSX vs Windows vs Linux.

I've been with Windows since my first computer. Windows ME to be exact. I tried Linux, but I found myself returning to Windows. I currently loathe Windows 8.1 tho, and hope the glitches are fixed soon. 7 was the best imo.

I like OS X, very simple and clean. Windows 7 was great though, but the 8 and 8.1 updates just make me cringe. I can never get used to it. Linux haven't used, but you actually need to know what to do on that operating system, it's not a start-and-go kind of system.

I grew up with Mac OS 9, then OS X, then I went to Windows.
I also used Linux for a while but Windows wins the competition by a landslide.

If we're solely talking OS, mac beats windows by miles ahead. The OS is made to compliment the hardware mac uses, hence the high prices. you could just argue that you can do the same with linux as you have with OSX.

I stopped using Windows the moment I turned 18, since that was the day I could do whatever I pleased with my computer, so I wiped the hard drive and installed a Linux distro. Never will I go back to Windows. And now I'm thinking of buying a MacBook Pro simply because I own an iPhone. Being that it's Apple, I'm assuming all features will play flawlessly with each other.

Security and speed are the most important things for me.
Windows has OS X trumped in those areas; security especially, in Mac is a joke.

It's true it varies from distro to distro, but any 'seasoned' being will be able to set up a pretty secure Linux machine.
I'm not seasoned and I only like and use Linux for its diversity and ease of customization and access, and have been for a while. I also use Windows on my laptop. But your opinion is so ignorant and poorly-funded it shouldn't even be called an opinion.
But if by security you mean Firewall or the lack thereof, then oh well.

Any seasoned being would be able to setup a linux system that is safe. Most viruses are .exe files anyway, .exe = windows file. Lot's of viruses that cause problems = not so safe.
It sounds like you tried linux once or twice, had problems with it and forever outcast it from your life. Only someone like that could be so ignorant as to say linux isn't even a contender.
