Linux is certainly a contender. Most WINDOWS trojan horses are creating using linux's backtrack, and system host intervention. Which makes it much more advanced and complexed in many aspects. Due to it's advanced utilities it offers compared to other OS. Like said varies from distro, set it up, and you're good.Security and speed are the most important things for me.
Windows has OS X trumped in those areas; security especially, in Mac is a joke.
"Mac OS X is like living in a farmhouse in the country with no locks, and Windows is living in a house with bars on the windows in the bad part of town."
Any seasoned being knows that Linux isn't a contender.
Mac sucks due to it having terrible memory management, poor virtual memory allocations, and slows down rigidly, and poor performance overtime. It uses a lot more resources then other OS. Which is uber gay.
Windows is alright, it's not HOLY BBQ secure, Ms asking us to download security updates every week. MS offers us a built in windows defender in windows 8 now, what's funny is that it's a terrible software and doesn't offer the required protection which is needed. You can download one? yeah ofc. With windows, not having liable protection pretty much leads to a fresh OS install.
