Right well, in that case, i'll argue for Ōnoki and the Mizukage.

Overcoming the Nidaime's illusion shouldn't prove too troublesome given that;
  • Mū is already familiar with the technique.
  • The Tsuchikage is able to knead his chakra in order to pinpoint the Clam's whereabouts.
Yes, I agree.
However, I think Jōki Bōi is going to be the biggest obstacle Orochimaru and co must overcome in order to seize victory. We know that it caused Mū big problems in the past, likely because its speed prevented it from falling prey to Jinton. Ōnoki lightening it with his Chōkeijūgan (Ultralight-Weight Rock) will not only make it more evasive, but also increase the rate of its detonation as the Imp moves about more and more [ ]. Standing still and attempting to lock onto Jōki Bōi may prove foolish as it would present Ōnoki with a window in which he can fire off his Jinton. With a Jutsu like Jōki Bōi, it's only a matter of time before the hideout is reduced to rumble and the combatants are left exposed to the outside arena.
Smart move, lightening the Jōki Bōi, I hadn't considered that. However, the Jōki Bōi should be manageable. It's fast yes, but as we've seen before, when it shrinks down, it's strategy is to draw the enemy into a close combat position, which I think would be it's downfall in the end, when it tries attacking Orochimaru. Of course, it wouldn't attack Mū through close combat, due to his levitation. Orochimaru however, has in his arsenal attacks that are excellent when it comes to restricting people, which he mostly does by using his snakes. [ ] [ ] Of course, the real problem would be getting an opening to actually be able to use these techniques, but I believe that can be achieved, simply through surprise attacks, executed by using the Mizukage and Ōnoki's lack of intel to his advantage. Neither have too much info on him or his attacks, meaning that they wouldn't be expecting something like the Body Shedding technique. As soon as the Jōki Bōi slashes at Orochimaru with his ax, Orochimaru has an opportunity to attack back, something the other team wouldn't be expecting. An example would be using the technique as soon as the Jōki Bōi's attack is executed, allowing Orochimaru to capture him and restrict his movements with any of the techniques I mentioned above. Of course, he'd do this after receiving info from Mū.

Then, there's still the question, will the Mizukage summon the Jōki Bōi? Personally, I doubt it. Not only would it considerably weaken his body (Do note that in this situation, the battle field isn't filled with rocky columns and stones that he can hide behind, but rather a terrain where he has no choice but to stay in sight of the others and rely on Ōnoki), but it would create a great deal of threat to his partner. One might argue that the cave is large enough for Ōnoki to fly away and find a safe spot, but if that's the case, wouldn't Mū be able to do the same? You yourself have already coveredhow Orochimaru could defend himself here below, but there's still another fact that should be considered, which is his ability to merge with the surroundings, shielding himself from any and all damage. [ ] [ ] Shortly put, Orochimaru should be able to survive the technique unscathed. The deal would be same with Mū, by simply getting out of the explosions range. Or, at least that's the way it would be if Ōnoki hopes to survive it. There's also, of course, the fact that if there's a part of the cave where the explosion won't reach, Mū could simply fly over to Orochimaru and get him out of the attacks range.
We don't know if Mū is able to maintain his invisibility whilst at the same time using techniques which require him to actively funnel chakra into, say, his arms (for Dust Release). Perhaps if he accumulates chakra in one part of his body in order to use a particular technique, that chakra is no longer hidden. Either way, he isn't backed by feats in this case.
Yes, you're correct. However, that may not be too important. Even if he isn't able to utilize jutsu in this form, he does have a physical presence, as seen when Gaara was able to sense his presence through the Sand when he was invisible. This means that even if he can't use Jutsu, Taijutsu is still an option, which would allow him to harm his opponents without having to reveal his presence first. An example of an attack would be a simple punch aimed at their necks, backs (In Ōnoki's case), or balls. (If he wants to play dirty)
Orochimaru isn't the quickest, so I suspect he'll need to bring out his Sanjū Rashōmon in order to deflect the Imp's explosions.
Possibly, but I don't really think it's necessary. Summoning the Rashōmon seems like a pretty drastic reaction to something that can be avoided by simply staying out of the range of the explosion. This could be acieved by simply going underground, or by having Mū move him to safety.
This is where I think Ōnoki will come in handy. His Chōkajūgan (Ultra-Added-Weight Rock) can make either of his foes too heavy to even lift their arms [ ] - this pretty much nulls everything bar Mū's fission technique. If that happens, he becomes an easy target for either Jinton or Jōki Bōi. As has been mentioned, Ōnoki can transfer his Flight Technique to others, probably by lowering their weight. That means that both the Imp & the Mizukage can possibly take to the air, making the former more of a threat and the latter more difficult to take out when in his weakest form.

I see Bunshin feints being the most effective means of dealing with Orochimaru. That Added Weight-Jinton two piece should be effective if he's occupied with an Imp which has had its speed amplified.
While that is true, the biggest question is whether he actually manages to do that or not. Obviously, he needs to be in touch with an object to make it heavier/lighter, and as we've seen before, that wasn't something he managed to do against Mū, not even with the help of his clones, not until he was aided by both Gaara, and Naruto. Mū, being aware of all this, would of course keep his guard up against Ōnoki, along with warning Orochimaru about the technique. I honestly don't think Ōnoki would get an opening to perform the technique against either when he has to worry about an invisible foe somewhere on the battlefield, and in this case, he has to do this without having Gaara's Sand Sensing at his disposal. If the Mizukage uses the Jōki Bōi, Mū would without a doubt seize the chance and try to attack him while he's weakened, and since this time he doesn't have to deal with the Mizukage's Clam Genjutsu, there's nothing stopping the Tsuchikage from harming the Mizukage, aside from the Mizukage's teammate, Ōnoki. He could never take the risk of leaving his teammate in such a weakened state in order to attack Orochimaru, since that would give Mū an opening to attack him.

I do feel however, that the Mizukage and the Jōki Bōi suddenly gaining flight is kind of a long shot. Sure, Ōnoki was able to grant his two bodyguards the ability, but that doesn't really mean that the Mizukage and the Jōki Bōi will suddenly be able to utilize this technique to his fullest, since they have no actual idea how to use it, despite having their weight reduced. If that was possible, what was preventing Ōnoki from doing the same to his allies in the battle against Madara? Surely, this would have greatly boosted the power of the team, but yet, he didn't do it. Sure, he could lighten them to increase their speed, but them gaining flight suddenly, is a bit of a long shot.

Hmm...my thoughts: Ōnoki & Nidaime Mizukage.

I. Awareness:

Team two has a way to reduce the ambiguity of this ambiguous theoretical situation. The evidential characteristics play a vital role in determining the lessening of that ambiguity, and it is precisely centered on a relationship between the two subordinates from Iwagakure. It is an important aspect to note is team two virtually has complete knowledge on the other Jinton user of team one: Mū.

From this situation—Madara’s betrayal and Ōnoki’s expression regarding Madara’s powers— it can be reasoned that Ōnoki more than likely witness Mū’s full capabilities. It can also be said that during this time period Mū may have been in his prime, nonetheless, it is implied that both Mū and Ōnoki were fighting fully, whereas Madara was not.

That said, since that time, it is highly likely that Ōnoki continued to grow his repertoire or abilities since and not Mū—the former was appointed to Tsuchikage, signaling either’s Mū’s retirement or death. Thus, again furthering the above: Ōnoki witnessed Mū’s abilities completely, which may also be supported by the fact Ōnoki was unsurprised at Mū using his Fission Technique prior to summoning Madara. [ ]

The knowledge Ōnoki possesses can be easily relayed to the Nidaime Mizukage and from there they form strategies dealing with Mū’s abilities firstly, and secondly Orochimaru. Ōnoki will inform the Mizukage about the innate workings of all of Mū’s abilities, leading to counters possibly like the following.
Agreed. However, Mū's info on Ōnoki and his jutsu would most likely suffice, as Ōnoki's fighting style mainly revolves around exactly the same as Mū’s, using the Jinton and the Levitation combo to take out the opponent.

Other than that, his arsenal wouldn't really be too much of a threat, since all of his moves require a close combat situation, something that is simply avoided with common sense. As we saw in his fight with the Edo Tsuchikage, despite the fact that Mū may not have full intel on him, he still didn't manage to take him out even with the help of his clones.

II. Cloaks:

Mū’s most troublesome ability is Meisaigakure no Jutsu (‘Hiding with Camouflage Technique’). But as Ōnoki possesses information on it, it should reduce team two’s difficulty in dealing with it. For instance, the Mizukage has an affinity for Yin Release—a product that allows one to manage the imagination—as well as an affinity for Genjutsu. When used in occurrence or supplemented one another, the Mizukage can falsify the reality of things in a similar to that of Izanagi. If the Mizukage uses this with his summoning: Ōhamaguri (‘Giant Clam’), then the effects of his Yin Release and Genjutsu are greatly amplified; as the clam itself emits a mist that produces a mirage capable of manifested genuine . And even though Mū is a sensor, he cannot properly distinguished the mirage from the real, meaning that the Mizukage could safely deploy this technique until team one finds a way to end it. [ ] However, because it is a way mirage, finding the actual location of the clam is overly difficult. Due to this features, Ōnoki can safely use Jinton: Genkai Hakuri no Jutsu (‘Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique’) from a distance he finds ideal, potentially erasing both Mū and Orochimaru.
While that may be true, Mū, having intel on the clam and it's properties, would without a doubt alert Orochimaru of the fact that they needed to find the Clam, which would without a doubt lead Orochimaru to use either the , or Manda himself, both of which would be able successful in locating the clam by simply covering the battlefield, using their own size to their advantage. After locating it, he can have Mū destroy it with the Jinton.

Mū would also manage to provide an effective counter to Ōnoki’s Jinton while this is going on, simply by utilizing the properties of his own Jinton.

Alternatively, Mū’s Meisaigakure no Jutsu can be countered by Jōki Bōi.

Jōki Bōi itself may potentially end the situation before it begins, even though Mū has knowledge of this technique, it is relatively difficulty to counter; especially if supplementary by any of Ōnoki’s abilities. The major attribute Jōki Bōi has in this matchup is its speed; it is idiotically fast for something of its statue, and it is that speed that can potentially enable team two to trap team one in a continuous cycle of defensive matter—which can, with the right application—easily kill Orochimaru by setting him up for Ōnoki’s Jinton based attack. In addition, Ōnoki’s own Jinton based attack can be purposely used to negate Mū’s own Jinton attack. [ ]
This speed however, can be taken care of by utilizing Team Two's lack of intel on Orochimaru's abilities. As we've seen before, permanently taking out Orochimaru can be immensely hard, and with Team Two's lack of intel, they wouldn't be expecting something like the Body Shedding technique, meaning that they would rather use the same tactic as the Mizukage used against his opponents in the war, and have his minion attack from close up. (This, of course, would be happening after it has shrunken down) At this point, after he has taken out Orochimaru, he wouldn't be expecting a counter attack from him, meaning that Orochimaru should be able to catch him, allowing him to restrict the Clone's movements.

The explosions are something that can be dealt with. In Mū’s case, the counter is simply to do the same as Ōnoki, and levitate out of the jutsu's range. This should obviously be an option, unless the Mizukage is planning on blowing up his partner as well.

Orochamaru also has a few ways to survive the explosion, for example to:

  • Merge with his surroundings, and hide underground.
  • Summon the Rashomon Gates.
  • Have Mū carry him to safety.

Shortly put, the Jōki Bōi can be dealt with. Whether they would actually resort to the technique or not is also debatable, simply due to the fact that it weakens the Mizukage so. Using this technique would result in him being vulnerable (In this scenario, there are no places to hide like in the earlier battle), while having to let Ōnoki deal with the attacks of both Mū and Orochimaru, along with Orochimaru's summons. While this all is going on, the Jōki Bōi wouldn't be able to do too much to Orochimaru and Mū due to reasons listed above.
