I believe the story of one piece is far from over. They will get a new crew member (prob Bart) and fight even stronger opponents than doffy. That being said I think luffy will need a power up to become the pirate king. Does anyone have a clue to what it could be? It has to be epic because right now I think luffy is still outside of top 10 strongest characters in OP. Maybe he learns to use new form of haki nobody knows about.

Luffy is confirmed to be a novice haki user- so he is going to improve in that regard.
As far as devil fruits go, I think he has his fairly well mastered,- I am sure he will still develop new techniques but I think he is going to spend more time improving his haki.
It has been implied that like Roger, Luffy may gain the ability to "hear all things"- so EOS Luffy may have planetary Observation haki

I think haki will be explored in the coming arcs.
Kings haki can't be as useless as it is right now. It's the most powerful and rarest form, yet it only knocks out fodder. I think there will be more to it.
Also I think it will be revealed that supernatural abilities like Asura and Diable Jambe were created with forms of haki all along but they never realized back than. Just like Enel didin't know that his Mantra was haki.
Armament to make sanji's leg fire proof, and Observation to create demon illusions for Zoro would be a good way to explain those things and to add elements.
That way we might see diable jambe and Asura version 2.0

I believe current Luffy is stronger than Ace.
Come on guys, I think Luffy deserves credit where it's due... if 2 years of training out the ass on a deserted island isn't enough to at least make him tie with Ace, then nothing will
