I was re-watching the fight of the best at Marineford. Seems like Jimbe does not possess Haki. So I am gonna go with Luffy on this one

Both of your statements about Jinbei are incorrect.

If you re-watched Marineford you should've notices that Jinbei was able to hold of Akianu's magma punch for quite a while. The only damage that did was a couple of burned hands. The same punch killed ace, and blown away half of Shirohige's face. You can't touch magma if you don't have something like haki to protect you.

As for the second statement you made. In chapter 629 Jinbei was able to hit Luffy with his Gyojin karate:

It works on EVERY living creatures. Also logia fruit users are made out of water so they would be affected by the same punch as well. Besides Jinbei never had a oppertunity to really fight Akianu because he constantly had to protect Ace and Luffy from not getting killed.

Why do people call him "Jinbe"? The anime spells, "Jimbe". Anyway, luffy. It wouldn't make sense to have a person on a ship who is stronger than the captain and since jimbe is gonna join soon, he would have to be weaker but that's a different issue.

He's called Jinbe because that's how Oda spells it. I'd take the author's romanization over a sub any day.

I had in mind both things you said. First one is probably right. But for the second one I have my arguements, since there was some times he couldn't even land a hit on Akainu. I mean, if he really has Haki, there would be no problem to enhance his punch with it so he could harm Akainu, even for a little time. I dunno m8, time will tell
