Ok honestly? I don't even watch One Piece- but what if the One Piece was in fact Luffy's hat this entire time?

If there's some crucial plot point or something that proves me wrong then let me know but that would just be the coolest ending.

Secondly, I would assume that One Piece is something physical, seeing as how Gol D. Roger was asking Shirohige if he wanted him to tell him how to get to Raftel, where One Piece was located.
