Luffy will fall in the New world by either Doflamingo or some high caliber opponent. I was personally hoping that Don Chinjao would show not only Luffy but the readers that you shouldn't underestimate the older generation/New World.

Luffy is the star if the manga and will become the pirate king , he will never lose again. Just watch and see. He have defeated ever warlord that he has faced and this was before his haki training , excluding mihawk., but now that he have honed his skills and powers there is no one that can defeat him anymore
