today something occurred to me. We're all after a fairy-tale life. Particularly where love is concerned. We want that kinda of best-friend/lover romance, but we rarely get it. Now why is that? Is it because it's really so hard to come by? I would have said yes... but today it kinda hit me. most of us fight falling in life. We fight to keep ourselves to ourselves. not without good reason, but to have that kind of Cinderella romance.. You have to let the other person in. They have to be able to count on you, and you have to be able to count on them. with every issue that comes up. not just those convenient. we have to be accepting of each other's ways of life. Accepting of the choices we make. and yet still accepting of good advice, and council when offered. Most of us fail miserably at all of that, and much more, for once reason... We don't try. Instead we fight it every step of the way, and then wonder why it doesn't work.
If you're afraid to let someone in, to let someone else's life become essentially one with your's, to let someone in to every aspect of your life..
Then you're not ready for it, or you don't really want it.
It's true some of us also confuse love with ***. *** can certainly be love, but the feeling must originate before *** occurs, or the relationship will likely fail. not always, but a lot of the time. Why? Because the art of making love, and making babies, creates an emotion all it's own. it just doesn't have a name.
