Infinite Crisis:
Bane of a God

Two Weeks Ago

Burning through the atmosphere was a large meteor, approaching and falling fast. It burned as it fell through the atmosphere, a green glow following it's descension towards the earth, gaining speed and heat before crashing with a gigantic quake, leaving traces of this green rock scattered along the outskirts of NBVille. Hearing about it's crash, the NBSSC (NB Space and Science Center) hired several astronauts to look around space for where this large meteor came from. At the same time, Sun Labs had managed to scavage several large pierces of this rock off with them in labs, hidden under lead layers to avoid detection.

researching the Kryptonite, they parted ways believing that only they were the ones with the Kryptonite.

Until now.

Present Day

It started like an ordinary NBVille day. Kids were at the parks. People at work. Heroes patrolling their districts while the villains plotted in the underworld. Everything was quiet - even Batman was able to rest. But in NBVille, quiet and peace is never kept long.

The bells rung. Footsteps thundered the halls. School was out and the kids were preparing for another house party in the hills; Jimmy Stingson's parents were out of town and he had the house to himself. What better way to celebrate than a party?

Going to the store to pick up some plastic cups and plates for the party, he walked past the electronics section and stared at the giant TVs.

"Geez, these are expensive...if only I had the money.."

As he watched the game broadcasting on all the screens, it was suddenly interrupted as it switched to a news station and a reporter interviewing this old guy with a streak of gray in his hair. Looking around, Jimmy saw a store worker with the remote.

"Sorry, man. Trying to catch this report for homework."

Looking back at the screen, Jimmy listened:

"...Diane, that's exactly right, and it's one of the things we'll touch on tonight at the speech I give at the science museum at 9"
"Wow, this is quite remarkable; what lead to it's discovery?"
"Well, that's one of the reasons we're researching it: everything about it is peculiar, and weird. It's not from our solar system, let alone our planet, for example. It came from the same planet that Superman came from."
"Really? That's something, our local hero has a sort of memento here in NBVille."
"Well, not exactly; we have reason to believe that exposure to it will cause severe harm to him. It's based on the fact that our sun giv-"
"Wait, Dr. Lee so this can beat Superman? Well, he'd better stay away from this, hahaha. Now enough about the, Kryptonite you say? What else has Sun Labs been up? We haven't heard much lately from your part of the woods."
"Well, we've been closing some of our larger labs that we haven't used lately. Cut back on expenses, you see. No need to have so many that do the same thing. A lot of items across our 10 factories are being moved to restore them here before shipping out to another city later this week."
"Where to, though that reminds me that John tells me you've also discovered and created quite a few formulas at your labs..."

Walking off shaking his head, Jimmy continued shopping. He had enough issues to deal with planning a party; a rock that can beat people was useless to him.

Later That Night

Leaving the store and throwing his party, Jimmy forgot all about the news interview, it wasn't on his mind at all when he made out with Cindy before his parents showed up early at 8, the current time.

He hadn't remembered at all. But someone else did. And they knew that all the factories would be emptied soon, and there was no chance that it was even still there. The only person who knows for sure is Dr. Lee and he's not even at the lab or home.

Phase One would be the discovery of what Kryptonite is and that it exists; at current, only Batman, Superman, the NBSSC and Sun Labs know what Kryptonite is as well as the reporter interviewing Dr Lee. Through whatever method you can, write your actions up until 8pm ( current time ) and your learning of Kryptonite

Garfield was sprawled out in the electronics section laying on a random bench in the form of a small house cat. He stood out somewhat due to his green fur, but most people seemed preoccupied with their shopping, and were too busy to notice. He stayed off to the side, as he watched the various televisions, and people that criss·crossed the aisles rushing about talking, arguing and going about their usual business. As the televisions all switched over to the news he yawned a bit before standing up on all fours and stretching his legs.

"...Diane, that's exactly right, and it's one of the things we'll touch on tonight at the speech I give at the science museum at 9"

Hmm, green rocks that can deter humans, mutants and even a wannabe God, along with several other items of varying degrees of power. Sounds dangerous, maybe even useful. He realized he was speaking aloud and quickly looked around hoping no one had actually heard him. Trying to explain a green talking cat-... while in the form of a green talking cat might just get him on a lab table somewhere. Then again he could be gone before anyone even had the chance to try something so he briefly made eye contact with the store clerk and spoke again. Mondays, amirite? They'll all think you're crazy.

Before hopping down from the bench and walking towards the front door walking out. Once outside he shifted his form into a Peregrine Falcon and flew upwards scouting out the area. He remembered the green glowing meteorite he had seen in the sky a few weeks back, and tried to remember where the Sun Labs building was. He remembered the truck he had intercepted around the time of the meteorite impact and flew to where it had originated from. ( )

In Peregrine Falcon form he perched upon Sun Labs, hoping for someone else to cause a large enough commotion that he could slip in, grab the various things he wanted and get out undetected. What he wanted at this point, mainly was information that could help him, so all day he watched the building watching who came in, and who went out getting close enough to even hear them with his heightened senses. With the time he took getting there, and the time he spent on the building it was getting rather late. Eventually in his somewhat dull mind he got it in his head that it might be a good idea to actually go inside, he could take the form of a mouse, or a bug and try to get inside. However he decided it was best to put a pin in that idea until the time when it was needed.

EXP: 20
Type: Science
Rank: B
Description: Beast Boy's core ability is Terrestial Metamorphism allowing him to transform through the modification of his own DNA or through his connection to the Red into any animal at any size relative to it's original counterpart. A very basic technique and one of the very first Beast Boy created it is in essence the ability to initiate and undergo animalistic transformations such as gaining claws, fangs, horns additional appendages such as tails, wings, limbs, organs or adopting other traits found in animals such as their vocal structure, their muscle structure, their bone structure, their nerve structure or even their organ structure. This allows for him to take on animalistic traits and gain abilities relative to the transformation Beast Boy is able to source a transformation from any species of animal including extinct, alien, single celled and even mythical in more advanced applications of the core ability, keeping to terrestrial and average animals for this base ability. Several animalistic transformations can be derived from this and in turn the user can change their body structure in several ways with a single use it is at it's lower use a passive transformation granted by simply being Beast Boy. No matter the form Gar keeps his own consciousness and conscience. To use this properly separate techniques will be made to use certain abilities and if this technique alone is used to attack it will count as something akin to advanced freeform being around the same strength.
This also allows him to augment his smell, sight and hearing to a level above others, to the point of being able to track others by these senses and preceive things other people wouldn't be able to perceive, increasing one of the senses per transformation.
While under the effect of any transformation be it animalistic or sense related Beast Boy's genetic sensory abilities are amplified exponentially due to his attunement with animals he is able to understand any animal even their motives. He's also able to know their strengths and weaknesses due to being able to transform into them. This is how he is able to know what abilities are useful and which are not. He is able to communicate and use animals as scouts or learn information from them.

Smaller transformation derived from this are passive and can be called upon nearly instantly. They are things like growing fangs, nails, hair, claws, horns additional appendages such as tails, wings, limbs and even allows for the regrowth of removed limbs. This basically allows the user to change his own body structure in his base form to better suit combat.

Larger transformations are more involved the user can change their basic senses. The user is able to further manipulate their bodily structure turning completely into an animal, or a chimeric shape comprised of several animals, but will always transform his body and organs, never create duplicates of an organ, with this base technique.
Note: Only one sense can be augmented at a time
Note: Size restriction is that of a large car
Note: Any attack sourced from these transformations deals 10% of Beast Boy's strength or speed modifier

Jagged. If you've read the fore-running mission you'd see the Kryptonite samples were stored in lead cases. And as we all know, lead blocks most types of radiation.

You'll need another way for finding those green rocks, bud.

Every since discovering the small gems that could harm him had been sure to keep an eye over the NBSSC facility for any suspicious activity. The astronaut, Riley, had told him that the NBSSC were in talks with various organizations to sell the crystals due to their radioactive and power storing capabilities.

He had to make sure that his only weakness would never fall into the wrong hands. He expected to see the man dressed in black with the bat symbol in his chest but he hadn't heard from the gruff vigilant for quite some time. Maybe he was busy researching them for himself.

Either way, Clark stayed in orbit over the facility with a watchful eye that could easily see over kilometers in a wink.

Techniques used:
Technique Name: Keenness of Senses
EXP: 5
Type: Mutant
Rank: D
Description: With his Kryptonian physiology Clark is able to see and hear even above superhuman. In addition to a higher perception:reaction quotient, Clark is able to see other waves of the Electro Magnetic Spectrum such as UV, Gamma, and even Microwaves up to long ranged. He is also able to hear varying frequencies such as radio and telephone calls up to long ranged. He cab only listen however and can't reply or talk on these frequencies. He is also able to feel the slightest of tremors on ground and distortions in the air such sound or delicate air pressure changes. His Intelligence increases by +5 because of this.

Note: Passive

Technique Name: Solar Energy Transmutation
EXP: 20
Type: Mutant
Rank: B
Description A unique ability seen in Kryptonians, is the act of absorbing/processing radiation, especially that of stars. Clark carries this ability with him at all times and passively stores solar energy from the orange sun of PlanetNB within himself. He is also able to harvest the radiation of Blue Star should he venture beyond PlanetNB but not that of a Red Star. By passively absorbing solar radiation Clark is able to turn that energy into many other forms for his other superpowers, and can even use it to sustain himself--much like how humans eat food to stay 'alive'. Clark may also fly absorb extra solar radiation and to heal himself of any injuries someone might have inflicted. The passive ability of Solar Energy Transmutation grants Clark the following abilities (which are also passive);

Flight: Clark is able to lift his body from the chains of gravity with something that can only be described as will. He can fly at blinding speeds or just hover when stationary. His flight speed is correspondent with his (Speed) attribute.

Durability: Due to constantly having solar radiation within and his Kryptonian physiology, Clark has an immensely durable body. Able to fall from orbit unharmed. Being an alien and all he also has the ability to survive in the vacuum of space by converting solar energy for sustenance. His durability is corresppndent with his (Durability) attribute, following the normal Damage rules.

Even though Superman is able to absorb various forms of radiation not all are ideal for his body. Namely the radiation of a Red Sun or green Kryptonite. If green Kryptonite is brought within short range Clark he begins to feel immediate effects which begin dropping his stats until they are zero, essentially turning him into a regular man. And if Clark even goes into the same region as a Red Star he begins to be stripped of his powers. He has recognized the radiative patters of these his weaknesses however, and can spot them with his radiative vision if he has reason to be suspicious. He has a resistance of 1:1 to Radiation type attacks, with the exception of those mentioned, instead of a 1:0,5 as usua.

Note: Healing can only heal +5 to Durability per turn and cannot heal above 50 in a battle.

Exodus sat glued to his chair as he watched the interview on T.V and couldn't believe his luck. Donning his mask Exodus waited until 8PM before making his way to sun labs with plans to steal the kryptonite and sell it to the highest bidder. Exodus hops on the roof of the nearest building to get a better view of the lab and to go over his plan to steal the kryptonite eventually settling on sneaking his way in and stealing the kryptonite before anyone has the chance to take it for themselves. Focusing on the vibrations made by sound and other factors exodus had a clear view of not only were the kryptonite was but of anyone near the building, as of now there was a being he could since nearby but decided that most if not all people were of no threat to him and promptly went back to executing his plan.

D rank: Vibration sense
Technique Name: Vibration sense
EXP: 5
Type: mutant
Rank: D
Description: The user has total control of All Acoustic radiation. The user now gains the ability to sense the vibrations and sounds in both the air and ground.(sounds and vibrations fall under acoustic radiation)

Note: this technique is always active and as such does not need to be activated.

Exodus utilizes gamma radiation to create 3 clones of pure plasma. Exodus mentally commands the clones to walk towards the building(at this point exodus is seeing through the eyes of one of the clones) ordering two of the three clones to step inside sun labs and thoroughly search for the kryptonite while the other clone stood guard at the entrance.

B RANK: Gamma Adept
Gamma adept
EXP: 20
Type: Mutant
Rank: B
Description: Having mastery over the power of gamma radiation Exodus is able to form and harden the radiation into any construct imaginable. Each construct deals damage and moves at 60% of the users energy stat, the user can also create gamma clones. Gamma clones are formed by concentrating a high amount of gamma into the shape and form of exodus ultimately forming plasma. Exodus is a being of pure radiation and uses a part of himself to create these clones as such each clone moves under Exodus's mental commands in addition exodus can see through the eyes of each clone he creates(maximum of 3), as they will have no autonomy of their own. Because gamma radiation is toxic to living beings any living being touched will catch gamma radiation poisoning dealing 20% of energy damage and a -5 to intellect per turn afterwards, up to 2 turns without re-contact. Clones will be able to induce the Radiation Poisoning, at half the damage ( 10% ), but their damage is Strength-based otherwise. One of the key characteristics of gamma radiation is the ability to harbor in items it touches granting any one who touches an item infected with gamma radiation, dealing 5% damage due to indirect contact. These radiation effects do not stack.

SPD: 50
ENE: 50

Exodus watched intently as the clones stepped inside the lab looking for any immediate danger.

alright I toned it down, hope this fits now

J'onn was residing in a cheap motel currently. His identity had been compromised in his last home leaving him to flee the city, the southern hemisphere wasn't very welcoming of green skinned martians it seemed. But on his travels he had heard of a place. A place that welcomed all outsiders freely in to it's midst. The place was called NBville. He had traveled here for many miles and finally arrived. However a lack of resources had left him forced to take up residence in this filthy motel. Roaches crawled across the ground with scurrying little motions. J'onn could feel their simplistic thoughts. Nothing was on their minds except survival and where the next meal would come from. He envied them sometimes. To be so burden free, but he was also thankful to be able to aspire for more. J'onn was not of this world, no he came from a distant planet quite some time ago. The last of his people he was all alone in the universe. But he had taken to defending these humans, earthlings. They were very similar to his people in a lot of ways. Though not a fraction as strong in most cases. But J'onn always found it incredible the amount they could achieve in such small lifetimes through sheer force of will and dedication. It was to this end that J'onn had taken to watching the local news. It was hear that he heard the interview that would change his entire night, and quite possibly many more to come.

They were talking about a strange alien rock or meteor of some kind that had crashed to the earth, they said it was able to harm Superman. J'onn had yet to meet this hero by the name of superman, but by all accounts he was one of the most famous defenders of earth. But J'onn knew the minds of earthlings. While the common folk may praise Superman, the upper echelons would be terrified of him, and would no doubt be seeking a way to put a leash on the hero. Worse still would be his enemies, and the enemies of all heroes. They would undoubtedly be seeking a way to lay hands on this superman deterrent for many reasons the least of which would be killing Superman. J'onn knew he had to act fast. Shapeshifting in to his human form he began to walk the streets of the old town part of NBville. This type of area was a breeding ground for crime and filth, entering the minds of everyone in the town he began to peruse their thoughts as he walked. Looking for some kind of hint.

"Did you hear the news, do you think it's really true. Something could kill Superman?"

"Well it's not unheard of, that huge monster that attacked the city last month gave him a beating"

God I hope it's not true, the thought of a city without superman scares me.

"Do you not wonder where they're keeping it?"

"Well I've got an uncle who works with a certain place in the city that is meant to be holding it but he's sworn me to secrecy"

I hope it will be safe in star labs, I hope uncle Jim will too.

"Man that's crazy, I don't think I'd want you to tell me. God knows how many people are after that rock"

J'onn had heard all he needed too. Invading the minds of the humans was something he'd rather not do. But this was a desperate situation and it was only getting more desperate as time passed. Slipping in to an alleyway he fully activated his martian abilities using telekinesis to lift his body against gravity, allowing him to fly freely in the direction of star labs. Hoping to keep guard of the building.

Technique Name: Martian Mind Over Matter
EXP: 20
Type: Mutant
Rank: B
Description: Martian Mind Over Matter is a unique part of the Martian Manhunters skill set. Essentially this ability allows him to access the telekinetic and telepathic abilities of his people. Once activated Manhunter is capable of moving things, or people via telekinetic power based on his energy stat. Additionally he is capable of invading the mind of his opponents to gauge a rough idea of what they are planning to do in a combat situation, however this is limited and is not true precognition but it does contribute to the Manhunters intelligence stat to allow him to track things slightly better as he can somewhat predict what is about to happen. His telekinetic abilities cause 60% of his energy stat as damage and this counts as a move slot each time it's used. Using this ability grants the Manhunter a stat boost however he may not use any other stat boosting abilities whilst this is in effect. The final ability of this technique allows the Manhunter to use a psychic pulse like ability to blast his opponents brain making him feel groggy and dazed, lowering his intelligence by 10 for three turns.
Note: Once activated Manhunter gains +10 INT and +10 ENE and this lasts till the end of the fight.
Note: Once activated this ability remains active for the duration of the battle.
Note: Using any of the telekinetic or psychic pulse related abilities costs a move slot per usage.

Current Stats.

Strength: 10
Intelligence: 39 [+5 Martian Physiology] [+10 MMOM] =54
Speed: 30
Durability: 20
Energy: 50 [+5 Martian Physiology] [+10 MMOM] = 65
Technology: 0

Note: Smaller italicized text indicates the thoughts of someone that J'onn is reading via telepathy.

was rich, like stupid rich. Years of pulling off the most seemingly impossible contracts had paid off in spades. He had a gaggle of money to spend on ridiculous things, like for instance this secret lab of his he was currently in, location undisclosed. All around the room there were different monitors and gadgetry and lab equipment. Constantly monitoring the ins and outs of what was occurring he always had the news on for every major network on different monitors to gather intel about. With his heightened intellect he could easily listen to and differentiate from them all simultaneously while continuing with the task at hand. Beakers were filled with boiling fluids that were heated with a bun-son burner, and more bottles were collecting the by product of said burning liquids. Slade had just scored a large cache of from Sun Labs, and was hard at work this late afternoon figuring out how to use them to his advantage offensively, as well as supplementally. Suddenly he stops what he's doing and turns towards one of the monitors listening closely to a report, hands still doing what he was doing without the need to look..

Superman eh..and Sun Labs again. Interesting, it seems I missed their most valuable commodity. Here I was thinking I struck gold when it was only silver. A rock from space that can hurt Superman could be a valuable addition to my weaponry. Time to wrap up my work here for now and get dressed for my date tonight at the science museum..
With a few hours to spare, he wraps up his experiments then gets dressed. Wearing a suit and his classic eye patch, he arrives close to 8 o'clock in the evening in a large silver sedan tinted out of course with his armor and weapons stached in the back, incognito he would hide in plain view, blending in with the gathering crowd making sure he got a good seat to listen to the speech the good Dr. Lee was giving tonight, hoping to gain intel as to it's location as well as more on it's origins and it's abilities..

What a rather quiet day it was in NBVille, the streets was busting with cars, people curried off to work while children laughed and played. was taking one of her usual trips around town as she idly wondered what were the humans doing on this fine day. She being a half breed witch caused her curiosity of the human life style to expand further every day. She didn’t wear her normal battle attire but rather a simple T-shirt with some jeans and sneakers. Human clothes was so tacky to her but it’s all she had when she didn’t want to appear as a weirdo to the people. She was crossing the roads at an intersection when she heard some mumbling coming around the corners of this tall red building. It was the a café shop but on the table nearby she saw a handheld radio.

“Did someone leave this behind…?”

She thought to herself and while no one was looking she simply opened a small pocket dimension using her magic to trap the radio into it and quickly scurried off before anyone noticed. She quickly found the alleyway and releasing the radio she tuned into one of the stations at random when she heard something that caught her attention. On the NBVille 92.7 FM she heard the following report.

"...Diane, that's exactly right, and it's one of the things we'll touch on tonight at the speech I give at the science museum at 9"

After the a short moment Rose cut the radio off and simply thought to herself how this strange object can lead her to obtaining more potential spells and equipment. Rose simply stood up and headed towards the forestry where her home was secluded from society. Her combat gear ready she strapped her Wolf Fang onto her right hip and using her Darkness Magic she shaped her body Dark Wings from her back and flew through the forest and out into the city for several mintutes until she reached her point of destination. She landed and retracted her wings as she scanned the location for potential threats while staying hidden behind some trees nearby and roughly 32 meters away.

Hopefully no one else came…

Technique used
Technique Name: Darkness Magic: Creations of the Demon
EXP: 20
Type: Magic
Rank: B – Rank
Description: This technique stands for Rose Yakushira’s generalized ability to control her power of Darkness. She can create solid structures of Darkness such as hands for gripping, controlled moving structures like animals and so on. These can be created up to mid-range away from her original point but controlled up to long range. She can also create pocket dimensions in which she can store objects for supplementary means or trap people within them and crush them within the void. The last and final use allows her to use Darkness Magic directly from her body in which she can sprout the Darkness in shapes such as extra limbs or by simply by becoming Darkness itself and allowing her to phase through tangible weaponry and magic(within reason).

Exodus watched intently as the clones stepped inside the lab looking for any immediate danger.

alright I toned it down, hope this fits now

Atop the Lab Garfield played the part of a bird as another man approached and began to do exactly what Garfield was waiting for. 'Eh, didn't actually think someone would attack the place. Figured I'd have to sneak in myself, this'll make it so much easier.'
With that Garfield shifted his form to that of a small green lab rat and scurried into one of the vents on the roof and into Sun Labs proper. A large lab like this, the easiest thing to pose as would be an escaped lab rat, there were likely dozens if not hundreds of mice being experimented on inside. As the man dressed like a clown burst through the front door Garfield slid down through the vent looking for any signs of a computer terminal. He wasn't expecting to find the Kryptonite, not here in an unguarded lab, but he was expecting to find some kind of information that would make finding it easier in the long run.

It's got to be here somewhere-... mmmfff. Garfield made low sighs and grunts under his breath while still in the form of a small mouse. He shuffled through papers, and looked through the accessible files of any computer left open. He could still hear the other dude, bursting through the front door and seemingly trying to find danger. That meant Garfield was on the same floor he was. He tried to remain as quiet as possible scanning through papers, and computer terminals as fast as he could, for being in the form of a small rodent. He then though to himself. 'Maybe I should have just went to that museum where that Lee guy was supposed to talk. Eh, I doubt he'd have explained any of this anyway.'
Garfield began looking over all the projects and research stuff not pertaining to rocks, anything he could spot anywhere. There seemed to be some blueprints but most everything was related to something he didn't seem to care about. He jumped down from the last desk in the room and scurried alongside the wall.

His hearing made it possible to keep track of any incoming individuals and his small rodent body made it possible to get into tight places and find things he'd need. Eventually he made it into the breakroom and ate most of the crackers, peanut butter, and various other snacks he could find. Seemingly bored with his own plan at this point before returning to looking for information. He was smart enough to avoid any traps they had laid for escaped mice. Keeping in mind that a silent alarm had probably been tripped the moment the other guy broke in he tried to stay both out of sight and undetected, the police, or lab security surely wouldn't be looking for a green lab rat when they had more pressing matters to deal with. Like a psycho tearing up their R&D department.

It didn't take long for Clark to pick up signs of an intruder. With his wachful eyes he saw a somewhat normal looking man around the area of the building. Then suddenly the man began to float. Curious, Clark attuned his mighty vision to even scrutinize the being more, and with X-ray vision he realized that this man had much more going on within his body than what appeared on the outside, despite wearing quite the camouflage.

Technique Name: Radiative Vision
EXP: 10
Type: Mutant
Rank: C
Description: By harvesting his stored Solar Energy Clark can emit focused beams of radiation from his pupils that, with enough concentration can be used offensively and in a supplementary manner. In the offensive way Clark can fire beams of high energy lasers at his targets that can reach up to mid ranged. These beams aren't really dangerous, they can deliver 2nd degree burns to regular human skin, after sustained contact and melt traditional metals like Iron and Copper. If left trained on a target these lasers can become quite dangerous. For more "strategic" uses Clark can also tone down the radiation to provide X-Ray Vision. With this he can see through people and objects up to short range. The X-Ray doesn't hurt people or things.

Note: Laser Vision aspect costs a move while X-Ray can be used passively for a max of 3 turns per use. After which it takes 2 turn to recharge.

Yang used the back of her hand to wipe the sweat from her brow, as she leaped back. 10 men surrounded her; out of these ten men only five were still standing. They had attemped to attack her during her afternoon jog; that explains where the sweat came from. Yang threw a few more punches; dropping two more of the men. At this point the other three decided to leave while they still had teeth.

"THATS RIGHT! YOU BETTER RUN! COWARDS!!!" She yelled.

The blonde decided to leave the others unconscious. They needed the beauty rest after all. Continuing down the street, the blone passed by a store. She was stopping to get some heroaid from the drink section to refuel, as she went there she passed a flat screen which was broadcasting the news. They spoke about this thing called kryptonite which could hurt superman. She listened for a bit and continued on.

Calvin Rankin had been walking the streets past a local television store where several people were standing apparently looking wide-eyed at the television screen. Calvin, his interest peeked as to what was going on, didn't stop to listen to what was being said to make everyone so struck, all he had to do was overhear the word Kryptonite from the 4 people standing next to the television store as it broadcasted the news and the knowledge of each of the individuals was copied into his brain. Collectively between the four people he was able to piece together the information of the broadcast from the point that they had all stopped to listen to it after having syphoned through all the skills and knowledge that each individual obtained. One person was a gymnast, and Calvin suddenly became acutely aware of how to maintain balance with his body

"...not from our solar system, let alone our planet, for example.
Calvin kept walking...wait no...he hadn't been walking at all, the gymnast in him caused him to start balancing himself on the edge of the sidewalk as if it were a plank; as he processed the information that he had just acquired.

A way to possibly defeat Superman? A God amongst men he will be no longer I guess. And here I was hoping to meet him one day. A weakness that now the entire world knows about? Too bad I don't have any specifics on what it is actually called and the effects that it has on him.

Calvin continued to walk out of range of the individuals and he could slowly feel himself losing balance again so he decided to stop walking on the edge and stood completely back on the sidewalk.

J'onn is hovering in the air for a moment before he feels a presence closing in on him. Using his ability to enter the minds of other he feels the thoughts of this man momentarily, sensing no hostility in particular from him but a certain sense of being on his guard. Looking up at the man it's hard to not recognize him in that trademark outfit. Superman, it seems that he too had realized the danger of the strange meteor. J'onn would reply calmly. Talking directly in to Superman's mind via telepathy, to prevent them being overheard.

Calm yourself Superman, I am not here to fight. I sense that we have the same purpose here, you and I. To defend the labs against those who would attempt to steal this strange rock. It's likely that many will try. So it might be advisable to take my aid in this matter. No?

Things had been slow since he recruited Inferno. Sitting in his throne, Cold is all but sleeping until one of his lackies wakes him with news that might be interesting.

"And you're sure they said Kryptonite? At Sun Labs?"

I think so, boss. But anyway, this could be the big score we've all been waiting for.

Don't rhyme. I hate it when you do that.

"How will you remember me if I'm not unique?"

"Steal me something worth remembering. Until then, you're beneath my notice. Now get out."

This was big news. This was really big news. When he fought that immortal monster called Doomsday, he mentioned he wanted Kryptonians in exchange for their help. Was this Kryptonite related to Kryptonians? They sounded oddly familiar. It also seemed to be linked to that pansy who dressed in tights and flew around like he was some kind of superhero. Was he some kind of alien? Was he one of these beings Doomsday was looking for? Either way he had a score to settle. Confirm whether this Superman is one and point his mad dog in his direction if he was. This was also a great opportunity to steal things that would net a lot of money on the black market.

He gets up and makes his way to Sun Labs, already knowing the location from his underworld contacts and from the failed missions by his lackies to break into it.

Zi Yu was at home relaxing sitting on his couch while eating his lunch and watching TV. As always Zi Yu would be watching the news to see if anything interesting was happening, Fortunately yes something was happening, an old man had been stuck on his roof for 3 days and none in the neighborhood had notice until an Icecream Truck Driver called the police.

"Seriously what has this world come to.." he said to himself while shaking his head in disgust.

Afterwards immediately the news station was covering something else that had captured Zi Yu's attention, it was the coverage of the kryptonite. After listening, he knew that anyone who possesses such an item could easily defeat Superman, so if it were to fall into the wrong hands, there would be chaos. So Zi Yu was jumping from building to building in a direction towards to Sun Lab so he could defend the rock from anyone who would try steal it.

After his interview, Dr. Lee had thanked the studio for letting him come and speak; it wasn't often these days that scientists were given national interviews and positive coverage. Especially not after the Technatron incident. Shuddering, he shook the thoughts off as he left the news station. Stepping into his Prius, he drove back towards his lab.

Upon arriving, he noticed a green bird perched atop the building. His eyes narrowing, he looked at it as he walked inside the facilities. He had seen colored animals before and thought it was just another bird native of the NB Isles across the ocean near the city. Shrugging, he entered his passcode and scanned his eye and entered through the secured lab. He was almost sad that he'd be leaving it soon but with bigger projects came bigger funding and the mayor only chose to fund his efforts, and not the entire Sun Labs so of course he had to accept at the sake of leaving his colleagues. They'd understand, he had hoped. That wasn't the situation, however; his pupil and mentee felt abandoned and angry at Lee and hadn't been heard from all week. Lee hoped he was fine but the young man was known to be quite...angry at the world and in a city like this, that was never a good sign....

After clearing out his desk, Lee stood to look at the lab one last time before leaving his Lab ID on the table and leaving the room, stopping to turn out the lights and enter the passwords again for the alarm system.

Leaving the lab's front doors, Lee steps back into his Prius and heads to the science museum, his last act he must do as a Sun Labs employee.

At the labs meanwhile....

After leaving the lab, a figure appears, cloned into several bodies. The bodies walking into the building and bypassing the security system, a silent alarm was tripped; since this seemed to happen every week or so, the police had opened a new building next to the Lab, allowing them quicker access to the facilities since they shared underground facilities. Several laser grids dropped around the entrances to each room in an attempt to seal off whoever had entered the lab and whatever room they were in. Ten officers entered, 2 on each floor with guns drawn as they walked with their lead vests and helmets. They had been briefed of possible negative side effects to any item stored at the labs, so they took precaution.

The rookie on the force, Officer Jordan entered one of the labs, his hand shaking slightly as beads of sweat fell down his face; he had heard the reports of the heroes in the city as well as the villains and as expected, he was nervous: This was his first day on the job and he hadn't signed up for battling metahumans. Hearing a short sound behind him, he turns frightened and pulls the trigger, shooting a computer screen.

"Oh...my god...it's a damn lab rat," he sighed, looking at the green rat on the table. "Stupid ass animal, aren't you supposed to be in your cage?"

"Jordan! We heard shots, what happened?" Suddenly, two officers entered the room behind him, guns drawn.

"It..it's okay...this rat startled me..."

"A rat? For God's sake, get your head out of your ass Jordan!"

"Sorry, Lt."

'WHAT HAPPENED?" came a voice over their walkie talkes

"Nothing...Jordan saw a rat. Stay on alert"

Embarrased, Jordan left the lab and walked around the floor, eyes swiveling around. Now at the other end of the lab, he walks into yet another room and this time, sees a figure moving (Jagged).

"Freeze! What are you doing here?"

Garfield nearly froze in his tracks as the man shot the computer next to him. He assessed the situation realizing he was right, they believed he was a mere lab rat, and seemed to go on to confront the man causing all of the noise and all of the commotion. With that he took his chance he looked about noticing the ID card that had the name "Lee" on it. It being an actual ID card he knew it could allow him access to the more secret places of the Lab, what he didn't know was how to go about his business with officers swarming the place at least he was in a better situation then the guy who thought it'd be a good idea to stroll through the front door. Waiting until all of the officers especially trigger shy Jordan left the room Garfield gripped the ID in his little rat teeth and tried to find a secure place to hide for the moment.

He took this chance to activate infrared sight, and boosted his hearing exponentially. This allowed him to hear things in other rooms such as whispers, walkie talkies and even the altercation between the officers and the front door kid. He could also see all the various heat sources/thermal radiation allowing him to keep track of both the officers and the man that had burst through the front door by their heat signatures he thought to himself. 'Come on, Gar think. Maybe Electromagnetic tracking could be useful next, need to find doors that an ID card would open. Stay quiet, stay quiet, stay quiet.'

With his enhanced sight and hearing he quickly and quietly tried to make his way into any hidden areas that would only be accessed by ID cards keeping eyes out for card readers and key pads. He made sure to remember the passcode Dr. Lee used earlier and kept in mind that an eye scan may be necessary. While keeping his thoughts in check he made it a point to avoid any traps using his infrared vision to know where all the laser trip lines were while also keeping his hearing pinned on the other individuals throughout the building making sure to not cross paths with them if at all possible.

Description: Beast Boy or another shapeshifter augments their senses allowing for varying applications such as infrared sensing, night vision, ultraviolet sight, electromagnetic sensing, heightened sound perception, heightened or dulled sense of touch and pain, echo location and an increase in the sense of smell. He does this by augmenting the sensory organ related to that sense or creating a new organ to gain the sense putting it into his own body.

Any of the sight based sense augmentations allow the user to boost their eyesight to 20/5, meaning that what a normal person would need to be five feet away to see someone under the influence of this technique can see from twenty feet away meaning their sight is four times better. Heightened sound perception allows the user to hear whispers from roughly 30 meters away. Electromagnetic sensing allows the user to sense out various animals and people, and even sources of electricity. These abilities can be used by Beast Boy or any Shapeshifter he teaches how to do so. If desired the sense can boost the users intelligence by 10.
Note: Augmenting a sense is a passive action, unless the user wants to boost their intel with it
Note: Two different senses can be augmented at the same time eg: sight and sound but can't have multiple variations of the same sense eg: Nightvision and Infrared

Note: Above is a passive action, didn't take the intel boost.

No?
Clark was shocked to hear the man's voice in his head. It was an odd feeling to be hearing someone and not seeing their mouth move. This confirmed his suspicions that the man wasn't ordinary, and provided more evidence he might not even be from this planet.

(He can pry into my mind. And he immediately knew who I was despite me never seeing him before. Just what this man--thing?)

"Hm, we do share the same motives it seems. As you would've realized, recent news have began quirking a few eyebrows in the wrong direction. They're after a special crystal-gem called Kryptonite which, as you can imagine, does not originate on this planet but rather fell here as space debris from a faraway planet. Picking up on the radio frequencies with godlike precision he immediately deciphered the situation.

"We have to go now. It appears people have already begun their move."

Mapping the source of the frequency to the map of the facility Clark honed in the area of commotion in an instant. He began to fly toward the source. He wasn't sure if the mind speaking man would have the ability to keep up with his speed so he flew at a slightly slower pace.

"Follow me."

As the man spoke to J'onn, his thoughts rushed through the martians brain as he spoke. J'onn saw flashes of an exploding planet. The name Clark flashed through his mind. He saw a small farm where a boy was running through the cornfields. Then a flash of a full grown man wearing red and blue hovering by a destroyed planet in the middle of space. He saw glimpses of the green meteorite they were looking for. The information was overwhelming but thanks to his exceedingly high thought process J'onn managed to keep up with the real talking, though he lost control of his bio polymer momentarily exposing a tinge of green skin for just a second. Before focusing once more, he heard Superman warn of the danger and what was already happening inside the labs. Using his telepathy he focused in on the minds of the people in the building.

Man I can't believe a damn rat scared me like that. Oh god it's so embarrassing, why didn't I just lie and say it was something else. These guys are never gonna let me live this down now. Wait what the hell is that, oh god there really is an intruder.

Manhunter felt the shift in the mans thoughts. The fear in his mind the adrenaline kicking in. They didn't have long until things went to hell. Launching at his full speed towards the building he used his telekinetic ability to propel himself through the air with the power of his own mind, landing atop the roof of the building he allowed superman to take the lead. As the better known superhero it was safer to allow him to enter first, lest the security guard mistake manhunter for a criminal too.

How do you want to play this? The security guard in there is about ten seconds from drawing on the intruder. Whoever it is they managed to get inside without raising the alarm apparently. Plus if my suspicions are right and it's someone here to steal the kryptonite to harm you, then they're probably not a normal thief.

Seeing the man was able to keep up Clark decided he might even be able to handle supersonic flight.

"I'm not an actual expert at this myself, I've only been putting up with this moniker for like two months now. Either way, four hands are better than two..."

With that he speeds up until he's a mere blue and red blur. Clark flies through a reinforced Plexiglas window the speed and power of a tungsten slug. As he crashes through he spots the hazy looking image of a man. Even without his super senses Clark could see these things were made of boiling hot plasma. Going into combat mode just moments before his speed boost ended he quickly coats his fist with solar radiation to protect them while swing a punch mighty enough to topple mountains. The plasma clone would disperse near immediately.

He turned to the shocked guards, "Relax. I'm on your side."

Using his X Ray Vision he spotted the second clone just moments around the corner waiting to enter. As well as the third one seemingly standing guard outside and finally fourth presence just meters away. It was like a small army. He turns to the strange man he just met a minute ago.

"Can you feel these things' minds as well? I want to know where they're coming from."

Techniques used:
Technique Name: Godspeed
EXP: 10
Type: Mutant
Rank: C
Description: Using his superhuman physiology, Clark is able to reach great speed. By pushing from the ground in either a run or flight Clark can reach incredible speeds only appearing as a blue and red blur to mundane eyes. This ability grants him a boost of +5 Speed. While using Godspeed Clark is unable to use any of his other superpowers however as all his focus is on this otherworldly speed and keeping himself from wrecking stuff.

Technique Name: Olympian Fist
EXP: 20
Type: Mutant
Rank: B
Description: Using his brute strength, Clark will utilize his inhuman durability as a Kryptonian and deliver a wrecking punch to his target. Normally, punches aren't that noteworthy, but when Clark coats his fist in rudimentary Solar Energy radiation his punches are enough to shake the ground around him up to mid-range range and create a crater up to short range. The coating is super heated and allows him to melt through certain substances while he swings his hands, the coating also heats the air around his fists causing it to expand and create less friction. His punch can fly through C ranked lesser metals and organic material with ease, and hit the target with unhindered damage. This is, as mentioned earlier, purely a strength coordinated move. This attack does 45% of the user's STR and 15% of the user's ENE in damage.

Note: Can only be used in rapid succession twice, after which it takes 2 turns to recharge.

So far the search for the kryptonite is turning out to be a hopeless task, the two clones inside the lab have found nothing pertaining to the we're about a of the item in question and no leads to get him closer to my goals. I'm this close to telling the clones to just destroy the place when I(my original body)senses 2 humanoid entity's approaching the lab at an extremely fast rate, one in particular seems to be heading in the direction of the clone standing guard outside. Feeling slightly amused that someone would challenge me so early in the game I quickly command the clone outside the lab to create a spherical dome made of plasma around himself, i watch as the man hits the radiation dome in failure.

Gamma adept

Hold on there cowboy. You're supposed to make a thread with your counter, I think. Either way, I see some juicy errors in this so I'll just hold on to it until I get confirmation from LoK.
