Mission Name: Occupy the Zoo
Alignment: Neutral
Type: Solo/Counter/Initiative
Rank: C
Description: Several gorillas, Lions, Tigers, and other dangerous animals have all escaped from the zoo. The local police aren't really equipped to handle this -- all the animals need to be safely brought down, and sold for as high a price as possible. Of course, for collectors, you can't really kill them. However, others would want these animals for their furs, ivory, etc. So, it's up to you whether or not to kill them.
Reward: 20 EXP
Gar walked through the city streets heading towards one place where he always fit in at least in his own opinion the City Zoo. It was Tuesday, the day they let people in for free. Turning down the corner he saw a massive commotion people running from the place he was heading it didn't matter to him just yet and he didn't even realize why they were running.
The reason he didn't notice why they were running was his eyes were fixated lower than what was happening more specifically on the bouncing chest of one of the cutest raven haired beauties he had ever laid his eyes one-... well in the last twenty or so minutes. He continued forward toward the commotion humming to himself before breaking into a mumble. I'd appreciate your input.
The woman ran up to him as he continued breaking into a complete song as if trying to impress her the way a male Peacock would impress a female Peacock. In his own mind they were on the beach and slowly running towards one another. Loudly and abruptly he burst into song as she slowed down slightly as if taken aback by the sudden noise. Sweat, baby, sweat, baby, *** is a Texas drought me and you can do the kind of stuff that only Prince would sing about. So put your hands down my pants and I'll bet you'll feel nuts.
At this point he thought his singing wasn't half bad. He was slightly delusional maybe even tone deaf but he thought it sounded pretty good.

Crrrrrrrrrrrrrack!
He swore he saw a comic book panel with the word "Crack!" in large bold letters as her hand slammed against the right side of his face turning his naturally green cheek slightly red as it began to swell slightly almost in a comedic cartoonish fashion. He continued but by this point she was gone. You want it rough, you're out of bounds I want you smothered, want you covered, like my Waffle House hash browns.
It took him a second to realize she was gone. He was too lost in his own fantasies until finally he made it to the entrance of the Zoo the front gate was wide open like it was every Tuesday. They allowed anyone, of any age to come and see the animals. Gar related to them more then he'd admit. He was caged once, watched, abused, forced to be someone's entertainment if it was up to him he'd break the cages and set them all free.
OI! Ya stupid green bashtad get away from there!
An old guttural voice called out from afar with an odd somewhat British somewhat Irish accent.
You-... you yes you! Stand still laddie.
There's several beasts running free round here.
It was then that Gar realized where the voice was coming from. It was from above a watchtower that sat alongside the gate. He was high off the ground with what looked like a hunting rifle in his arms. Garfield looked up noticing the gun immediately as a look of disgust washed over his face. His eyebrows furrowed and sunk in anger. Good, they deserve their freedom. Have you ever been in a cage? Do you know the feeling of not knowing when your next meal will come? Hmm? Do you know what chains around you wrists and ankles feel like? I bet you don't always been the one above safe from it all but you-..
The man interrupted him cutting him off giving Gar no time to finish his sentence as he spoke again.
I don't give a rat's arse about you. It's my job I'm worried about. If you go in there you die, then I lose my job. There's several Gorrillas, a few Tigers and I'm pretty sure I saw a Kangaroo. They've all slipped their cages and the Gorrillas are fighting the Tigers it's a madhouse you didn't see everyone being evacuated are you that daft? Hmm boy'o?
Gar ignored the rest and walked forward into the gate shifting into the form of a large green gorilla. He headed towards the noise oohing and ahhing as if talking to the gorrillas that had perched themselves up a tree. He approached slowing his shoulders and head lowered slightly to not offend Oooh, ahh, aaaaahh ahh ooh; What happened here? Why did you slip your cages?
The largest gorilla a silverback called back moments after Beast Boy had called out. Ahhh, ahh, ooh. Ohhh aah ahoh; The Tigers slipped their cages first. They went outside we tried to stop them, they lashed out Darrel is dead.
The dominant Silverback pointed down to another smaller silverback on the ground the gorilla was covered in blood both slash marks, a bite mark and a gunshot wound. Garfield looked back up speaking once more as he did his shoulders lifted and so did his head. Oooh ahhoooh; Return to your cages.
Something about his tone and nature made the gorillas listen they did as instructed and returned to their enclosure. They closed the gate behind them as Garfield watched closely. Well, now that, that's done better go talk to that dude.
He turned around and headed back to the gate transforming back into his human form while sniffing heaving trying to pick up the scent of the tigers. As he left the gate he looked up the old geezer and flashed a face of disappointment. The gorillas have returned to their cages. Put the rifle down before you shoot your eye out-... kid.
He didn't know why he referred to the man as 'kid' maybe it was the way he acted or how what he did hurt Garfield in a way he couldn't understand either way the man had played a part in the death of that gorilla named Darrel and Gar didn't want him killing another animal. Not when he could do something about it. He walked forward past the elevated emergency tower towards the city streets following the tigers scent. Garfield didn't consider himself a hero, but the tigers couldn't roam free in the city. They'd be killed, and he couldn't get them anywhere where they'd be safe so he decided it'd be best to return them to their habitat. Turning down an alley he heard a roar and then a loud feminine scream.
He shifted into the form of a massive green tiger and began to stride down the alley going from zero to forty miles per hour in a few second. He tackled a large white tiger turning to face the same women who had smacked him merely a half hour ago.
Oi, run.
He spoke, she paused. Did-... did it just talk?
GO! He roared with a feral intensity and she turned and bolted Garfield couldn't help but watch the way her butt jiggled as she ran up the alley. While preocuppied the white tiger lashed out gripping Gar's side with his sharp teeth. He yelped in pain before roaring again. Rawwwwr; You stupid bastard I'm here to help you.
The white tiger roared back questioning him he cried out that the other tiger that had escaped with him was already dead. Roooar; M-... my mate. They killed her. I just wanted-... to be free-... with her.
I know how it feels, but you're not save here. You have to go back. They'll kill you too. Gar tried to convince him that returning to his habitat was the safest and most secure way but the tiger wasn't listening it was racked with loss. Garfield was tired of the shit, he struck the tiger with a full on head rush as it hit against the wall it was knocked unconscious alive and well just asleep. In his tiger form he slowly dragged the smaller tiger back to the front gate speaking in his regular voice he called out to the man on the guard tower.
You better pay me for this.
He drug the tiger the rest of the way to his enclosure passing the Silverbacks on his way. He tossed the tiger into the tiger habitat and shifted back into his human form locking the gates and returning to the front gate. ****ing Tuesdays. was just supposed to be a day to relax. It's been weeks, when am I going to get over it. I just leave people behind. It's all I'm good for.
He was mumbling to himself as he walked through the gate the old man met him at the gate with a few dollars in his hand. It wasn't much but Garfield didn't even care at this point he was done. He wanted to sleep. Being slapped by a pretty girl was the highlight to his day. What a shitty day that was.
That's when he saw the Kangaroo. He sighed heavily and looked back towards the gate and the Kangaroo hopped past back into the Zoo.

Sighing heavily Gar walked down the street. The man had paid him less than one hundred dollars for wrangling up those animals. What a time for his conscience to get in the way. That had been happening a lot as of late since he left all those people behind in the Colony. Gar then noticed a Sun Lab vehicle speeding down the road it had to be going at least forty-five miles per hour in a ten mile per hour zone. It was even a school zone.
Gar looked up. What the hell?
Then he noticed the three motorcycles traveling behind the Sun Lab's truck. It seemed to be heading for the hospital which made sense it looked somewhat like an ambulance. Garfield began running behind the bikers as he immediately transformed into a cheetah catching up with them rather easily as he went from zero to sixty in a few seconds. He pounced on the first biker knocking the bike over and knocking him from the bike. That truck is going to save lives! What are you doing!? Trying to steal from the sick and dying?
The man skid off to the side of the road as Gar used his strong jaws to bite into the back tire of the bike popping the tire. The other two sped forward after the truck one rammed it from the back. With the one man immobilized Gar bounced back doing a back flip and running after the remaining two bikers. Oi.
Gar ran up in between the two others speaking. You friend said you smelled like motor oil and stale hair grease.
As he said this they both turned somewhat sharply to try and intercept Garfield trying to smash him between the two motorcycles. He stopped running and let the two crash into each other a few feet in front of him. He laughed. People like you make me sick.
Garfield ran up to the truck looking up to the window trying to get the attention of the driver. He tried to get him to slow down calling out to him trying to ensure him everything was alright. However it turned out the man driving the truck was another bike gang member. Gar figured this out by the biker attire. He jumped up and into the air transforming into a bird and flying forward through the open window transforming back into a human in the other chair. Hi.
He then reached over pushing the driver's side door open and shoving the biker out the open door.
With that done he grabbed a hold of the wheel and shifted himself over into the drivers seat. That's when he heard a muffled grunting from the back. The original driver was tied up in the back. Oi. I'll drop you and these meds off at the hospital. Everyone'll call me a hero and maybe I can finally get in the papers and impress the local girls.
MmMMMMhhhhhMMM
HMMMHMHHhHHMM
What? Little Timmy's stuck in the well?
MMMMMMMmMMMMMMMMMMMHHH!
HHHHHHHHM
There's a bomb in the truck!?
Mmmhmm.
Wait seriously? Why? What the hell? I mean that doesn't make sense why would they blow up the-... son of a-.. I just don't-... get it.
Gar slams on the breaks and looks in the back. There was no bomb. He uncovered the man's mouth.
Where's the bomb?
There isn't one, I'm just tired of being tied up. You're the idiot that assumed there was a bo-...
Garfield shoved the cloth back into the guys mouth and drove the truck the rest of the way to the hospital dropping it off in a no parking zone and leaving the driver tied up still in the back. He made sure someone would find it.

Garfield looked back towards the hospital rolling his eyes as he went into a rant about all the good he was doing. It never dawned on him that he wasn't doing good to be a good person, he was doing good to try and forget the bad he had done. Was that not how it was? He didn't know but his conscience kept telling him about how he left those people behind at the Colony and how he was a piece of shit for that. Figured at least someone would care. "Oh look at that hero, he saved the medicine and the animals. What a good person." women should be throwing their panties at me like I'm a damn rock star.
While talking to himself he walked down the street. Several men were walking down the street towards him but he was still so focused on why no one cared about the good he was doing. One of the men spoke his voice was full of harsh intention. Yo green boy, why you green? You got somekind of disease?
One of the men called out as Gar looked up to him taking on a ready Jeet Kun Do stance which was just a relaxed posture waiting as if he was going to be attacked. He knew the tone of the man's voice he was hostile as hell. A second man chimed in his voice was nasally and almost wheasleish in tone. Heheeeehe, boss he looks like one of those metahumans. They sell for a fair price to that place what's it called? The Colony.
Why Ferret I think you're right. I wasn't planing on hunting metas today, but money is money.
By this point Garfield's skin tone began to turn red. His eyes opened slightly wider then they were. As soon as the second man said the words "The Colony" Garfield went into fight or flight mode. He would kill to not go back there again. The first man took three steps forward towards Garfield as if to grab him and immediately as the nameless man approached Gar performed a forward finger jab towards his left eye using his right hand. Back the **** up now!
Garfield called out with a guttural almost bestial tone. I'll kill you right here right now. You're already attracting way too much attention to me. I'd prefer not to be seen as a killer.
As he was speaking the first man was yelling and jumping holding his face. Gar's fingers had entered his left eye. It was torn to pieces it would never work as a functional eye again. You green-... red piece of shit. I'll tear your throat out.
Gar looked to the second man lowering his right hand and performing a "come hither" motion bending his right fingers inward. A second later he extended his right leg kicking the first man in the side of the knee as he snapped it. The second man rushed forward breaking through Garfiled's defense. He bit onto Garfield's left arm as he extended it parallel to the ground to create a secondary defense. I hope to god I won't need a rabies shot.
Garfield brought his left knee up hitting the man in the crouch with a upper knee to the groin. He buckled over in pain as Gar slammed his foot down upon his back as a snapping noise echoed throughout the area the final man one who hadn't spoken or even made his presence that visibly known began to back away before turning and running.
Garfield looked around noticed the massive crowd. People were all looking, their mouths open wide. All the good he had done today and they notice him right now right at his worst. He turned and headed down a nearby alley as people began yelling.
Stop that kid. He beat the shit out of these bystanders. Call the police.
Gar heard the commotion from afar and a look of sadness began to overcome him as his red skin tone faded back to green.
