Looks:
His garments and armor have a decidedly mainland influence, including his waist sash and pointed boots. Sesshōmaru has a Purple crescent moon on his forehead. He also has two red markings on each cheek and on the sides of his wrists as well as one red stripe on each of his eye lids. His eyes are golden yellow like his half-brother InuYasha. By default this is Sesshōmaru's preferred form. Sesshōmaru's armor includes a spiked pauldron that covers his left shoulder attached to the upper section of his cuirass. Both his armor and his long flowing sash have a decided "Mainland" influence, as opposed to the customary Japanese armor and Obi. His Kimono is mostly white with a red honeycomb and flower crest at the collar and sleeves. He wears Sashinuki Hakama, which are gathered at the ankles producing the "ballooning" effect. His footwear consists of flat pointed ankle-high boots. In the colored manga, the markings on his face and the flower pattern on his kimono are a purple-blue colour, however, these features are red in the anime.
Personality:
Sesshomaru's early life led him to become bitter an emotionally void. He viewed other people as nothing but tools that were disposable and essentially worthless. He thirsted for power and sought after a life of conquest in which he could unite the shinobi world under his leadership. He held nothing but bitterness for his half-brother who he refused to acknowledge as an equal. He claimed that Inuyasha's blood was tainted and thus he could never be on the same level.
But after a series of events including meeting an orphan named Rin, Sesshomaru's personality took a turn for the best. He became much more accepting of the people around him and even cares deeply for his traveling companion Rin, who he would give his life to protect. He has also developed a sense of respect for his half-brother Inuyasha, though he would never admit it. He is still confident in his abilities and shows little emotion during his actions.

History:
Lord Sesshomaru was born to a noble family within the village hidden in the Rain. His father was a respected warlord who's power was known throughout the shinobi world. Later in life his father had another son with a second wife, his half-brother Inuyasha. Sesshomaru grew to despise Inuyasha and for most of his life refused to treat him as an equal. Sesshomaru inherited the strength of his father and this was noticed very early by the village elders. They began to train him early in his life but teaching him the art of Rain techniques under Akiza-sensei. Sesshomaru excelled in combat and quickly became a student of war. But war took its toll on the young man. He began to question to worthiness of human life. It seemed like an endless struggle between weak men that only brought pain and hatred. He grew to despise people and decided to leave Amegakure. His goals became to grow in power until he could conquer to world and bring peace.
Over the years he grew stronger and stronger, all the while being hunted by Amegakure assassins. One of these was his younger half-brother Inuyasha. They confronted each other many times but neither of them would die. They became fierce rivals, but Sesshomaru would never accept Inuyasha as an equal. Sesshomaru also gained the aid of a travelling companion named Jaken. A child who was born with an odd birth defect that made him look rather....impish. This travelling companion worshiped the strength of Sesshomaru and in return gained the protection of the strong warrior.
Sesshomaru's resentment of humans would not last though. One day after a fierce battle against Inuyasha he was resting from his injuries. He sat against a tree deep in the woods and was confronted by an unexpected visitor. A young girl approached him and offered him help. Sesshomaru refused the aid and tried to scare the girl away, but ti didn't work. The child continued to come back to him bringing food and drink despite the dangers of the forest. Sesshomaru was soon back to health but the girl didn't return. Thinking nothing of it, he began to leave the forest. One his way out he found the girl being cornered by wolves. Without even thinking he defended her and killed the beasts. He asked her why she did what she had done and she told him how she was an orphan of the war and had nothing else to do. Sesshomaru decided to allow her to come with him and he would look after her, making sure she stayed safe. It would seem the cold and uncaring Sesshomaru was finally starting to develop a heart.
Their journey brought them many places. Sesshomaru grew stronger, learning taijutsu by a master named Chiryoku. He also learned from other strong travelers and became a powerful shinobi. But he also became a target of another powerful person, Naraku. Naraku was a missing nin as well, also from Amegakure. He thirsted for Sesshomaru's power and wanted to take it for himself. Naraku had also become a target of Amegakure's assassins, including Inuyasha. In an attempt to lure Sesshomaru to him, Naraku kidnapped Rin and attempted to kill Sesshomaru when he came to the rescue. As they battled, Inuyasha also arrived. The two brothers joined forces and destroyed Naraku. While he would never admit it, Sesshomaru had come to respect his brother and had become an ally of sorts.
With a new outlook on life Sesshomaru abandoned his path down the road of conquest and instead looked for other ways to use his power. He learned of the Hidden Leaf village and what they stood for and saw this as the closest match for his new ideals. He, along with his companions, journeyed to Konoha where they came to live. With the permission of the Hokage, Xylon, Sesshomaru became an important shinobi within the village. He now lends his power for the protection of the shinobi world, the people of Konohagakure, and the fire Daimyo Zenryoku. Who knows what the future holds.

Traveling Companions
Lord Sesshomaru is often seen traveling with three characters.
- The first and longest of the trio is Jaken. Jaken suffered from a birth defect that turned his skin green, eyes yellow and kept his size incredibly small. He is completely loyal to Sesshomaru and constantly praises his master's abilities. He is also quite scared of Sessomaru and instantly apologizes for anything that may upset him.
You must be registered for see images - The second character is Rin, a small orphan who Sesshomaru rescued from a pack of wolves in Amegakure. Shes very attached to Sesshomaru but is not a servant of his. She is more like a daughter who Sesshomaru cares deeply for, though he would rarely admit to it.
You must be registered for see images - The third is Ah-Un, a two headed horse with scaled skin. The horse was neglected due to its odd appearance and wasn't given a name until it met Rin, who named the left head Ah and the right head Un. During their travels both Rin and Jaken travel on his back.
