the book is not confusing and i love the style tolkien usesEh, show me the plagirism.
I'm gonna be honest... I tried reading LOTR when I was in 5th grade, (Like 6 yrs ago), and it looked so intimidating... needless to say there were atleast 500 words on every page, multiply that at minimum a thousand pages per book (Min)... lmao. So i never had the patience. Also, i tried watching the movie a few years back, but i found it somewhat confusing.
I've been heavly exposed to HP... why it's basically new, and i've grown up through its development, pretty much i'm assuming like everyone else.
LOTR has been around a LONG time, and is no doubt an extensive series.
Comparing the 2 is ridiculous... Plus many ppl don't have time/patience to read LOTR because of the sheer number of pages the book is.
I don't like Star Wars btw, lol even though this has nothing to do with it.
couldnt have said it myselfWhat she says. You're comparing HP which is, how you twist or turn it, just to amuse people with a story that tries blend in to the normal world, which is completely impossible.
While LOTR is a completely different history. Hp was written almost on a whim in a relatively short time. Tolkien worked his entire life on the history of LOTR. He made a history of more than 10 000 years with its own languages, cities, myths, legends, songs etc.
HP is fun to read and easier to understand than LOTR and if you just want to read, yes then you should read HP. However beyond all doubt LOTR is better. To put it simple HP is down to earth, while LOTR has an almost divine status.
I prefer Harry Potter as I could actually connect with Rowling's work but they shouldn't be compared imo. I still like LOTR movies to HP movies >.>Which do you prefer ? I just want to check which is the better book acording to narutobase members . Thanks for reading my post![]()
