no preference at all... the serie could be any length, i would only be interested in the quality of its content and storyline... however, i don't like series that leaves you on a cliffhanger, or those that don't address all of its subjects before it ends (major problems of short series)... and i don't like series where the scenario/action gets repetitive or is too prolongated (major problem of long series)...

It depends. A story should only be as lon as the content allows.

short stories are nice if the content is not that in depth or if there is not too much conflict to resolve. Long stories with a great story can be very fulfilling but if it drags on and on and on (I'm looking at you Dragon Ball Z Anime) then it can be tedious and piss you off.

I hear death note is awesome because its only as long as it needs to be and the story is great.

lol i was thinking about dbz also, perhaps bleach too... the only long series that aren't repetitive are naruto and one piece... don't know yet in which category fairy tail will fall...

Did you ever watch black blood bros? I kinda felt it left off in a weak way.... but I might have misssed something. So you dont like Yugioh, pokemon,or Naruto, and DBZ ? for the most part its the same story the whole time just minor tweaks to whos involved. jk btw...I actually liked the yugioh manga and anime wasnt too bad either imo...

Lol i liked yugioh too, just manga and series were pretty much same problem/plot just slight diffrences. Think I enjoyed the manga better though.

I think I prefer short...I mean, you can ruin a really good story by just extending it, rather than leaving it to the viewer's thoughts/imaginations...the longer it is, the more the risk of exaggerating, adding useless elements to a story, or totally twisting the story, themes, and characters it had which can make it either worse or better...
deathnote was short n sweet, extending it would've not gone 'right'...same with other animes/mangas, (Black cat, .hack/sign, etc.)
Not that long is horrible, I mean, Naruto is 'long' but it's taken the 'better' route instead of 'worse'. (To me, anyway.)
