Oodama rasengan seems more of a display of power than skill though. If I am not mistaken Naruto couldn't even pull that off till he got SM.

Doesn't even make remotely any sense when you think about it. Naruto nor Jiraya could achieve that size until Sage mode. It's about how much chakra you can pump into the rasengan to get it that size.

Naruto just to form a big ball rasengan (the one he used after the time skip) required him to tap into the ninetails chakra a little bit. Narutos chakra far exceeds Bolts at by all logical standpoints. So can bolt create something huge with that tiny body of his.

I don't know who is writing this movie but the wank is beyond real. I swear if I see him using SM and FTG at age 12/13, imma flip a couple dozen tables.

A. While Naruto hadn't displayed that level of ransengan until SM, he did it later in base. It is achievable.

B. There's a distinct possibility that Boruto inherited fantastic charka due to having a parent with Rikkudo powers (much like Ashura and Indra). Obviously he wouldn't have ridiculous power right off the bat, but this could explain why he could use such a huge ransengan at an early age.
