Didn't like LOK at all, clearly ATLA defeated it in every category outside of graphical animation but that's due to the time difference they were made in.

ATLA has better character's, better developed relationships, pacing, development, fighting choreography, locations, etc.,

What LOK did have a good amount in contrast to ATLA was villains. I did find myself getting captivated by the villains of the LOK series, especially Amon before we found out his backstory, to my disappointment. The second season villain was lack luster and the Raava introduction to me was terrible, and unwarranted. Third season of LOK had the best group of villains, and the fourth season of LOK was just boring to me, especially the ending. Though I must give ATLA props for giving us characters like; Sozin, Azula, Fire Lord Ozai, Hama, Jet, Long Fong, and Zuko (for a partial amount of the series). The characters I've listed are far more interesting from design, to characterization.

While I have no problem with two females getting together, if their relationship was actually developed to that point and not thrown out there like some kind of excuse, then maybe I would like it. Not to mention the poor understanding of what happened to the other Main Characters and how they ended up in comparison to ALTA is just terrible. I've enjoyed and watched the Avatar series back and forth, from start to finish many times. However when it comes to LOK I grow terribly bored of it immediately.

Korra was not really great of a MC either, though she had her upsides and good development here and there, she is definitely no Aang. Nor could she amount to his growth as a character.
