You have a point however it seems that genjutsu doesn't work like other chakra porperties for example you took genjtusu chakra Spred here like gara spreads his sands with chakra however it seems that genjtusu works almost like Space time ninjutsu Why well because no matter what barrier you are through you are going to be affected Also genjutsu users are very rare because they have the ability to manipulate other people s chakra at least that s how it works and that chakra distruble might as well be the key to raikage s armor don t you think ? also to finalize this and make this more simple take sharingan as an example the 3 tomoe sharingan can manipulate chakra to a certain point however when the mangekyou sharingan is activated along with tsukyomi you can manipulate chakra to a higher level hope this helps

No man, it's not at all. There's a major difference between being able to escape something and not being able to get caught by it in the first place. Regarding what you've stated in your OP, i'm sceptical about it working against opponents who possess high level illusionary techniques. Using this against those who are capable of time manipulation inside of their jutsu is out of the question. I also wonder why Yondaime Raikage didn't simply follow this method if it was capable of helping him to escape Madara's genjutsu.

No he is not immune. It depends on the caster. the raikage is probably good at genjutsu release so most wont work on him. But it depends on the level of the caster. Madara was strong enough to keep him in a genjutsu he could not release. So he can release sasuke who is pretty good at genjutsu but not madara. It is not because madara has more chakra because naruto has more chakra than itachi and could not escape. this is because itachi is more skilled at genjutsu than naruto is at releasing it.
