It should be easily recognized that while he may not be a direct Uzumaki (aka not Hogoromo Uzumaki), he's obviously the oldest known ancestor of the Uzumaki.

It was already co.firmed the Uzumaki and Senju are distant blood relatives which sounds like a cousin idea. So obviously they have a relation to the sage... So if his hair is red... It appears some descendant of the Younger Son picked up the genetic trait of red hair and it passed into the clan.


People also seem to forget that the Elder and Younger Sons aren't mentions to specifically start the clans, but that their descendants formed the clan. Or more specifically their descendants became Known as Uchiha and Senju... Leaving an unspecified amount of time in which other clans (Aka: Hyuga and Uzumaki) likely spread from the Elder and Younger Son as smaller off branching families. Since the majority of the descendants remained in conflict, these old ties have been forgotten.



So yes... The Sage in theory is an Uzumaki, Senju, Uchiha, and most likely Hyuga. While not a member of any specific clan... He is the progenitor of these clans.

You know I'm with you on that. The fact he himself isn't an uzumaki doesn't mean that he couldn't be the originator of it. Ofc I won't say that everything is definete but people using as sole counter argument his name is a weak one. Do you all forget that the protagonist is a similar case? He had the name but he didn't have the looks of a clan member. Only time will tell. What I know for sure is that it reminds me of Tobi's mystery all over again. It had been clearly pointed out that Tobi was Obito through many ways and when his relevation was coming closer we suddenly saw him with 2 sharingan and doubts arose once again. What I'm saying is that if you read Sir derp' Obito theory- I'm not butthurt in case you wonder- you'll find out that in many different cases, there were clues pointing out to that direction. (e.g. the sage sitting on a throne which had uzumaki's spiral symbol). And just like back then with the relevation of Tobi having 2 sharingan, today Kishi gave him a complete different name to destroy all these theories once and for all.

But what many people fail to see is that the fact that he himself was not an uzumaki is not such a big deal and as a matter of fact it's stupid to believe that his name would be uzumaki because if he is its originator, then the people who would come later would have that name, not he himself.

By your logic, he is a Nara, because he was the first nara as well, he just didnt have the name.
(He is the ancestor of ALL shinobi, and that includes the nara clan until prooved otherwise)
And in the anime, the entire scene had a red tint. also, red hair isnt compleatly unique to uzumaki's anyway, and therefore is not proof.

Guys this doesn't mean a thing, if he was uzumaki's clan originator then he wouldn't have that name since he was the first one and let me make an easy comparison. His children are only known as uchiha and senju ancestors but in actuality considering that they had his name they should have been name Oostsuki. Well guess what, they're only known as the ancestors because it was their abilities who made them differ and eventually evolve in 2 different clans. Same can be said for uzumaki as well.

You're obviously in denial. The sage wasn't an Uzumaki, he was the son of a goddess pretty much. The Uchiha, Senju and Uzumaki probably stemmed from him, but he was not an Uzumaki. And btw you usually take your family's name when you're a part of their clan..

Rikudo then split his chakra into 2 sons. Making only 2 people at that time with chakra - Uchiha and Senju. Those 2 sons obviously had wives as they can't have *** with each other, and those wives most likely had to be chakra-less beings unless sage somehow gave other people chakra.

As far as i Can see it, the two sons had one or many wives and each wife produced a chakra holding offspring. Each of those offspring formed their own clans, And one of the clans, from one of the wives, of the senju brother, happened to be called the uzumaki clan, while another wife(maybe his first one) name their clan the senju clan. That along with many other combinations of procreation can make the uzumaki distant relatives of senju.
