Marshall D. 'Blackbeard' Teach? Has arguably the best DF and has gained abilities off of many new world pirates not to mention his crew is OP too.

Edward 'Whitebeard' Newgate? Has OP haki, DF and the strongest known crew (debatable) & alies. Also had an Era named after him by the author.

hmmm seems pretty similar to my list....interesting. I put whitebeard before blackbeard because of all of the allies whitebeard has. I have yet to see someone go toe to toe with mihawk or shanks for that matter. Plus shanks has the ally thing going for him as well

Dragon, Shanks, and Teach

Being Pirate king is more then just a number of crew and strength, it requires that cheesy friendship crap with up to 10-13 crew members that can take out a whole nation.

Roger carefully picked out his crew with a few members, other yonkou's just have an army (giving them powerful status).

The only guy who seemed to be following Rogers footstep is luffy, teach, and shanks

PK material: Gol D Ace, Monkey D Garp (if he wasn't a Marine) and Monkey D Dragon ... Qnd probably BB, dependong how it plays out with Luffy at the end but I wanna say no due to WB's speech

WB refused it and he might be strong but he still doesn't carry the will of D, I know we don't know anything about that will yet but it is beyond obvious even now that the D's will and resolve is special, and assuming the true history is on raftel and the PK will challenge the world Inthink it is all connected to the will of D, so who better to be PK than someone from either Roger's or Garp's bloodline

As of now .... No ... Why isn't he the PK ... Is it because he isn't able to? If so he is not PK material. Or is it because he doesn't want to? Well than he does not have the will to become the PK and challenge the world, ie not PK material

In the entire series there shouldn't be more than 3, 4 or 5 ppl that are PK material or the postion loses a substantial amount of significance

Even someone like a Yonko shouldn't just be considered PK material, let alone someone like Dofy or Kid atm

Pirate King material??? mhmm well Ithink there is a lot to consider here one cld consider power and or potential then there is charector in relation to what was shown of the previous PK and what Oda is shadowing for us to expect from the next PK.
Current basing on power
1.Shanks(with WB gone I wld say if he was intersted he wld go for it and he must have seen Raftel so he seems to me the closest but I suspect he is like Roger's Wacthdog waiting for the right man).
2. Dragon(pure power hype but we do know he has a massive organisation so he cld if he wanted it I guess)
3. Other Yonko(Well they are in the generall area and their power is proven)



List 2 based on Potential(this is were Luffy is really no 1)

5. Hawkins
6. Im sure someone from the genaration inbtwn so maybe Marco/Crocodile/Hancock(if someone KOed luffy she wld go monster)




List 3 based on charecter and IMO the answer to the question.(Luffy's charecter has already been likened to the prevy so obviosly no 1.)

3. WB(i was trying to refrain from putting deceased pple on any of the list but I guess Im out of Peace Main type pirates.

5. Teach(total opposite to that so he wld make the best Luffy rival for the post so he is in a way PK material)
