You see, look at the number label's...like 31;32;33; there more scientis, an expert's who all favor the lion beating the tiger in a fight...here's more...
-
31. Caviar and Cabbage [Book] Melvin B. Tolson .
Tolson was the professor, poet and writer portrayed by Denzel Washington in
The Great Debaters , which is based on a true story from 1935 America.

32. Sir Samuel w. baker has carefully compared the strength and other qualitie’s of the lion an tiger an he decide’s in favor of the lion.

-

33. THE CATS OF SHAMBALA 1985 By Tippi Hedren and Theodore Taylor
Page 176, tigers are the original scaredy-cat. Although most ferocious under certain conditions, adults are scared silly over numerous odd things. Thunder and Lightning which a lion takes in stride, panics a tiger. Silver reflectors scare tigers, if you want to take over a room full of tigers walk in wearing a silver suit. In the movie ROAR a big siberian tiger name ivan backs down from a tiny lion cub. Tippi Hedren is a former actress that has lions and tigers and other animals on her compound in Acton,Ca.
34. Animal Planet team of zoologist enthusiast and scientist, concluded the lion would win in a fight with a tiger…

35. Interesting read on Dr.Sc Giuliano Russini view on Lions and Tigers.

...African lion presents phenomena of aggressiveness which, contrary to what is thought render it more dangerous in the wild than the tiger and more difficult to manage in captivity, as observed by the zoological biologists.... This caused by overheating corporeal overheating phenomena, is in fact a handicap in case of prolonged fights, drawback not found in the lion who, as they say, “will struggle up to the death”.Same can be said for the fighting techniques, which all stand in favour of the Panthera leo ,accustomed, as it is, to face in the savannah a great variety of preys and competitors, in comparison with the solitary tiger....

36. Circuss owner an big cat owner Geroge conklin say’s lion’s are stronger in term’s of pure power.

37. 36. Randy miller favor’s a lion against a tiger in a fight.
38. Craig busch favor’s a lion over a tiger in a fight.
39.Lion’s have harder strike’s, shown in this clip hitting a bigger and hevier tiger the mane dosent weigh that much, it’s just very thick an dense hair an by the size of the tiger his mass look’s even the same size of the lion’s mane, concluding the tiger is hevier an the lion still outpower’s him by bashing him with the usual haymaker’s lion’s throw, in the same instance the tiger threw first, yet the lion’s more powerful strike’s goes right threw the tiger’s attempt for a double strike which they usually use to grab , but the lion strike’s with such percsion an power he bashes the tiger so hard he completely fliped the tiger on his back a meter away…

40. Lion’s are stronger in the front limb’s there bigger, taller, broader and stronger shoulder’s aid’s them in being better fighter’s an out wrestle’s tiger’s…

41. Pound for pound lion’s are way stronger than tiger’s, this lion look’s bigger but it’s only because of the mane, both lion and tiger are about the same size, yet he still hit’s harder, also chasing off the competition as they usually do, due to dominant trait’s of the ma,le lion…also proving a lot of expert’s correct as tiger’s only throw wildly not accurately, in this fight he misses 6 time’s an mostly all other fight’s tiger’s always’s miss more than 50% fighting a lion, here…

42. people like to use this video as the tiger is winning? It only prove’s what 80% of animal trainers an expert’s say…which is tiger’s are explosive fighter’s an tire themselve’s out aiding there poor stamina, but how many time’s did the tiger land any thing at all? Let’s count them 1st lunge, barly nips the mane…which lunge’s cost energy…2nd lunge, misses which cost energy…3rd lunge misses…which cost’s energy, by doing so the lion is only using superior fighting tactic’s of dodging because they hardly clinch as tiger’s do, by this video prove’s the other video^^^ that tiger’s have very poor accurate swipe’s more of just swinging wind mill’s along with the end tevery swipe is absorbed by the mane as the tiger must reap what hit’s his head area…

43.
80% of swipe or bite is protected by the mane, as you can see the mane protect’s bite’s that can usually add up on a tiger, yet it has no effect on the lion in terms the lion can completely focus what he is doing which is draging around and mauling the tiger, which in the big cat fight world, every bite count’s…

44.Zoologist graph of the usual outcome

{Here’s a few documented Historical Artifact’s an Sculpture’s that are mostly in
museum’s, portraying the lion winning against the tiger, an each has a back story if you care to look them up and apperntly they would have to have seen the incident, to etch it or sculpture it an these are from different people from Rome, to India, to Britain, to China all portraying the same thing the lion having the winning course.}
-
But before you get started viewing these 50-1000 year old historical artifact's, play this song in a seperate window while viewing the artifact's, to give you a better feel of what the lion had to go threw, to earning his title the king of the beast, here

No death, but still not bad
THE OAKLAND TRIBUNE APRIL 1, 1895 "A DRAW" PARNELL FIGHTS A BIG BEAR.
THE LOS ANGELES TIMES APRIL 2, 1895 "BRUIN THROWS LEO
At 4 P.M. yesterday, in the bull ring at New Laredo, Mexico, the African lion Parnell fought a terrible battle with an enormous grizzly bear of the American type. The attendance was large. The animals fought desperately for two rounds until completely exhausted, but contrary to expectation, neither was killed. It was a bloody combat.
The crowd went wild when twice the American grizzly threw his African opponent and erstwhile king of beasts, so hard upon the ground that once, had time been called according to the usual rules, the lion would have been counted out
Throughout the battle the lion showed more agility and treachery.
Parnell is owned by Colonel F. Daniel Boone, the lion tamer, and is the beast that killed its keeper at the Midwinter Fair.
The bear is somewhat larger and heavier than the lion, and was secured at New Orleans where he killed two keepers.
It is the first time on record that such a combat has taken place. Mr Zarcombe, editor of the Laredo Times, was fortunate enough to secure four excellent instantaneous photographs of the battle. The fight took place in a large circular steel cage twenty feet in diameter and fifteen feet in height.
No more thrilling spectacle was ever witnessed than the spring made by the lion as he bounded into the cage, with a magnificent leap fully fifteen feet, and grappled with his antagonist.

Beside's the fact, that I gave at-least 10 account's so far of lion's killing bear's an historical documnet's of lion's killing tiger's, the fact remain's the whole debate is hypotheical as in a pit fight set up by man, as in man intervention, not what nature has already has set... meaning in the wild no land predator on earth can compete with lion's directly for survival in teritorial dispute's, not 1 carnivore animal not one. It would be a complete suicide mission to walk into the lion of africa's territory an emit a challange of war, by marking a territory or roaring for a dispute of challange, they would alert male lion's who live in coaltion's who greet battle as any noble Spartan, Masai warrior, Viking lord, Barbarian bezerker, Toma hawk chief, Celtic brave, Samurai, UFC champ, an use there superior fighting capabilitie's to dissasemble there on going challenger's, sorry but that's the fact's.
-
Again, I showed a single male lion can kill 1 on 1, sumatran, bengal to siberian tiger's...american black bear's to alaskan brown bear's to the biggest an strongest bear in the world the polar bear's 1 on 1, but in the wild the fact is lion's live in pride's, an every coaltion predator is under the lion in term's of power, courage, an feriocity of the lion... an no animal on earth on nature's standard's, would have a chance against the King of the aniaml kingdom the Lion...

Yes, in term's of battle it's 60/40 as shown by data so far for the lion being the victor, but in term's of pure brute power an tactic's of leonidus himself said they hranest the ultimet comat style by observing an learning from lion's, lion's have a 90% win in the wild, the 10% is for the challange-ing bear, tiger or what ever is only for there chance's of surving the mistake of issuing a call out to lion's is for them to run, an once the pride's male lion's see the challanger the 10% that's left is for only the escape, an even that's not a garentee.
-
I have done a fair accumilation of research's in this war of the beast, an I never came across a article or alibi of a contender lion losing, the lion's that lost was alway's under or over age lion's, to female or male's that didnt have a battle mane, there are record's of the Roman arena's an Barbary lion's who had battle mane's according to the Roman's the legendary Barbary lion never lost a fight an they pitted animal's thousand's of time's per emporer...here's there historical recording's an remnent's documented in these book's...
-
“Next, the arena was lowered to feature combat between them as lions tore apart tigers, bears, leopards against wolves. It goes without saying that the Romans had never heard of animal rights.”

You see those^^^ that's what happened, lion's barley ever lost when they had a battle mane. Although Barbary lion's are exstinct, they still have resemblence of there appeal threw some modern day lion's, who threw high testosterone an habitat's that make the mane's thicker an densar, these lion's resemble the look's of the undefeated Barbary lion of the Roman gladitorial arena, an there wont be an account threw out history of any predator on earth killing a lion like these not one, here...

Beside's you dont know what your talking, present what I asked for then if your so sure... you wont even present one of what I asked for above, not one, dont think this has any thing to do with personal aspect's I like the tiger, but I will choose to represent the lion this time an I know for fact with poor acusation's so far brought on this thread, you wont even dent my wall of fact's coming your way.
-
Yet later, I'll show exactly what your claiming is intirely false, along with scientific data, more creditable expert's and zoologist an studyed aspect's of the clashing of lion's and tiger's... along with a clean account's of more than a 100 time's, the lion has defeated an killed the tiger already...which you wont even match just half...
-
I garentee... I'll be see-ing you dude.
-
Btw, it wouldent hurt to read at-least some of last page that I presented, that way you dont look that ignorant next time....Tootle's.

lol, well there's your answer.

You'd have to learn or read the instruction's to operate anything in general, an without knowing the truth, how do you expect to pull it off in front of a foreman? You know in general...I mean anything... like what if you wanted a job operating a steel crane...you go to the work site, the boss tell's you, you know how to work this right? Then you say well of course I know, then you smash a building down or drive off a cliff...
XD You have to know at-least the basic's before you you can get in that seat my friend, it's implamented in everything, I'm not saying your 100% wrong but with petty acusation's like that, it kinda show's you dont really have any knowledge on the subject, Ignorant has no real insult it just mean's you dont know what your talking about.
-
An learning the truth, is never boring budd, in reality it save's time not waste's time. So First I'll cover some of the basic account's disproving your theory, that a lion cant kill a tiger...

Also saying they were edited an spliced in favor of the tiger, which if there were more than a few male fight’s recorded, why werent they ever shown. It is highly concluded the male lion’s won all, an the video’s were destroyed due to cultrual idlelization’s of the korean’s. Here’s the other alibi to that same fight here…

38. The lion also is protected around the neck by the heavy mane, which is an advantage. There is one instance I remember where a full grown lion and tiger engaged in combat, by unforeseen chance of course. It was when the John O’ Brien Show had its winter quarters in Philadelphia and I was connected with it. “A lion and a tiger were in a compartment cage, with a partition between. In some manner this partition was battered down in the night and the two big felloes got together. They had probably been issuing challenges to each other and promising what they would do to one another if the chance came. When morning arrived we found the two in the lion’s cage, the tiger dead and the lion all chew and clawed to pieces, but still full of fight.”

43.male lion kills male tiger, Fort Wayne, 1902
,
NEW YORK. Nov. 2. -Tradition that the tiger is a better animal then the lion in a fight has been disproved as Sr. Nicholas Garden, where one of the biggest striped denizens of the Bengal jungles is suffering from rips and tears inflicted upon him by one of the late king of the South Africa forests. The press agent did not give this story out. Probably he would lose his job if he had, for Bostock is careful to suppress any news tending to show that his animals ever exhibit sanguinary instincts when in the arena. The two big cats in question were brought together several days ago to become familiarized with each other for purposes of a contemplated act in the show ring. The tiger walked nervously up to the lion and began rubbing his nose over the latter's haunches. A low growl was the response. But when the tiger inserted his teeth in the lion's mane, Leo uttered a roar, unmasked his ivories and crouched. The tiger retreated a few feet and then sprang high in the air, intending to come down on the lion. But Leo deftly side-stepped and when the tiger alighted he grabbed it by the head. A twisting of the teeth and a large section of the tiger's face, including one eye, was gone. The trainers and attendants now tried to separate the beasts, which for several minutes rolled over and over each other, snarling, roaring, biting and scratching. Finally they were separated. The tiger, mutilated and bleeding, cowered in a corner, while the lion was defiant in another.

46.Animal reserve:Lion kills 2 tigers one juvi siberian tiger and 1 adult bengal tiger, an had 1 lion whiped 2 tigers in the same cage…

...I seen a african lion maul our adolescent male Siberian tiger to death. The adolescent was a year old. It is extremely sad that these fights are used for entertainment but at the same time I was awed to see one lion defeat two large tigers with all 3 animals in the cage at the same time.
-My teammates and I were transporting a male African Lion into a cage neighboring a Bengal Tigers cage in Kenya. There was a small opening in between the two cages for intermingling of neighboring animals. It was supposed to be closed at the time but someone forgot to close it. The lion sprang from the transportation container through the opening and mauled the tiger of similar size. We tranquilized the lion but it was too late. Two days later, the tiger died due to fatal wounds. It was a very one sided fight where the lion spent much time chasing the tiger.

There you have it, those ^^^ are some account's of lion's killing tiger's an if you do a head count at-least 5 individual's have 3-4 account's in 1 number label, so all together we are already in the hundredth mark, along with this man right here name Clyde beatty...

You must be registered for see images

He has been in the bizness over 40 year's, he had the world's biggest act of mixing lion's and tiger's together in the same giant steel cage, an was one of the only show-men to succsesfully do it. So in term's he was asked in a new's report how many accidental brawl's had occured, an here's what he stated just early on his career, here...

An that's just early on his career^^^, at almost the end of his career, Clyde was asked again, an he stated he lost 4 lion's that was killed by his tiger's but he lost around 50 tiger's killed by his lion's, so that's roughly around a 45 to be safe, but I'll present that article again when I get my hand's on it for credabilty. Also the account's without article's can be viewed on Circus history .com or by new york time's newspaper article .com, which I'll join the link to the article next time around. So all together so far that's around a 150 clean account's of lion's defeating and killing tiger's, there's only around 40 at best of the oposite.
-
Again the list is forever growing, and coward's alway's try to conseal and hide the truth like wiki, jackjacksonj .com, differ .com, indragit .com an ton's more by presenting Bia's lie's faked account's and poor an random data to favor what is barly true, but be honest to your self because the truth alway's rises above the lie's, so rise above it.

Oh man, everytime I post now my post keep's getting erased...Hmmmph oh Well, but it's not like I posted a hundred posting's an they are number labeled so you know I'm trying to squeez in every detail, but again why bother post if that's all you were going to say, it dosent spefically have that rule on this thread as other's do...so I dont see 2 or 3 being not bad.
-
But still no one matched even 1/10th my account's so by data, the ranking goes like this
1st place:Lion
2nd place:Tiger
3rd place: Bear
-
Unless anyone can match my data an provide more than a hundred account's of bear's killing big cat's like I have presented a lean 100 account's, than that's how it will stay, reguardless how bia's you are.

Well there's nothing wrong with an opinion, though some credintial's would be nice...you know a feat or account? I already exploited what's very small in term's of account's of bear's killing full grown lion's an tiger's and it's way less you'd be lucky to even find 30 all together of bear's killing big cat's, yet I already posted a 100 it's all there if you care to read... here I'll show you the abilitie's of even there smaller cousin the moatian lion pulled off a awesome feat against a much bigger openent being the puma usually stay's around 140-160 pound's as adult's, though the puma died too the lattar was as you know was dead as a door knob when in term's everyone think;'s size is the only factor, which it's not here...

You see an I posted 7 account's of puma's killing black an brown bear's which all together I have around 20 of the moatian lion's an he's smaller, weaker, an less durable than his 2 big cousin's the tiger an the lion.

Lion = is not a hunter....not a definite hunter compared to a tiger and bear...as you always know the lioness is always the one who hunts...

Tiger= is a definite hunter...fast, powerful, tricky aswell...

bear= i hate him so he dies...xd

Tiger FTW...;)

Again size isint the only factor, here's a sloth bear aka the asiatic black bear, killing a polar bear, asiatic moon bear's are one of the most agressive animal's an tend to rush other brown bear's more than vice versa, here...

There's a few account's of black bear's killing brown bear's as well, size isint that much of a deal, feriocity is more valued in a fight, than size...a sumo wrestler could push you around but a fighter would KO him just the same as a an equaled size apponent like here...

-
Geez look at the size of bob sap^^^ you'd think it would have been in the bag, but nope...size isint everything, it dosent contribute to durabilitie as much as people think it does... a bear isint that big either, a tiger can kill a 3,000 pound guar, an a lion can kill a 5,000 pound hippo or rhino, who a bear cant kill or at-least I 'm sure they cant they are not equiped in attribute's to handle that type of fighter's.
-
here's a few more I havent mentioned yet of just puma's killing bigger bear's...
.) And this from Grey quoting Buffalo Jones, who was a warden at Yellostone NP in the early 1900's :

Jones discovered, while in the park, that the cougar is king of all the beasts of North America. Even a grizzly dashed away in great haste when a cougar made his appearance. At the road camp, near Mt. Washburn, during the fall of 1904, the bears, grizzlies and others, were always hanging round the cook tent. There were cougars also, and almost every evening, about dusk, a big fellow would come parading past the tent. The bears would grunt furiously and scamper in every direction. It was easy to tell when a cougar was in the neighborhood, by the peculiar grunts and snorts of the bears, and the sharp, distinct, alarmed yelps of coyotes. A lion would just as lief kill a coyote as any other animal and he would devour it, too. As to the fighting of cougars and grizzlies, that was a mooted question, with the credit on the side of the former.

)**Another natural fight between grizzly and mountain lion was described in the San Bernardino Argus of 1873 (Ingersoll, 1904 : 371):
* * * * Some hunters were witness to a desperate fight in the San Jacinto mountains, the other day, between a mountain lino and a bear. The fight is described as terrific. The superior strength of the beat easily enabled him to throw his antagonist down, but the latter used his paws and jaws so fearfully that the bear could not keep him under. Both animals were covered with blood. They fought till both were exhausted, when the lion dragged himself off to the jungle, leaving the bruno in possession of the field.

) "A FIGHT TO A FINISH BETWEEN A BEAR AND PANTHER
By S. C. Turnbo

I am told that one who never witnessed a struggle between a bear and panther can hardly realize the strength put forth and the ferocity exhibited by these animals. A combat between them is so desperate, and to watch them as they tear each other’s flesh with teeth and claws and see the blood stream from countless wounds and hear their ferocious snarls and growls is indeed blood curdling. Though the writer never witnessed such a sight but from accounts given him by settlers and hunters many encounters of this kind have occurred and I have written down a few of the more interesting accounts to show the awful struggles between these animals for the mastery when they get in each other’s way. Among these is one given me by Mr. Gideon Baughman who lived on Crooked Creek seven miles below Harrison, Arkansas. He related the story to me in July, 1896, a short while before his death. He told the story in the following way. "When I was a boy my parents lived in Iron County, Missouri. I was just old enough to take a lively interest in hunting for game. The country there was new then with plenty of small game as well as bears and panther. One time while hunting near a narrow creek or slough called Cranes Pond I heard loud growls which evidently were produced by enraged animals. The noise seemed to be at the pond. Though only a boy my curiosity was aroused to know what sort of wild animals had met and were about to get into a fight. Advancing cautiously until I saw what they were I was surprised to see a bear and panther on a log which lay across the creek where the water was about 25 feet deep. The animals had approached the log from opposite sides of the creek and they both wanted to cross over on the log but each was in the other’s way. When I came in sight of them the bear was sitting on the log over the water and the panther was on the other end of the log advancing slowly toward the bear. Both animals seemed to be in a rage and were growling fiercely. When the panther got in reach of the bear the latter struck it a terrific blow with his paw which sent it into the water with a splash. But quickly recovering it swam out on the same side it started from and leaping on the log walked fearlessly up to the bear again. But bruin was ready and with another severe blow sent the panther back into the water, but immediately it swam back to the same bank it started from. When the bear struck it the second time the former dropped on his feet and walked across the log. As the panther leaped up the bank the bear had reached the end of the log and here they met on the bank and without further ceremony both animals clinched together in a savage combat.

It was terrible to witness. They growled, whined, bit and clawed until their hair was red with blood. Neither one seemed to want to show the white feather. After they had fought several minutes the bear caught the panther in his hug in such a way that the panther’s back lay against the bear’s breast. Then another scene followed. The bear sat on his haunches and as he tightened his embrace his antagonist surged desperately to release itself. For a while it seemed that the bear would come out victorious, but with a desperate struggle the panther succeeded in turning its body face to face with the bear. Then ensued the greatest scene of the fight. The panther with the sharp claws on its hind feet ripped the bear open and let out its entrails. At this bruin uttered a piteous noise and seemed to realize that he was done for, and with a last effort he crushed the panther so hard that it was unable to make further resistance. The bear released his hold and both animals sank to the ground in the agony of death. Bruin died first but his enemy lived but a minute or two after.

You see the list is growing an growing, I think Id be able to push the account's to a 150 for the big cat's killing the bear an the bear would barley make it to 30.

Same thing as I said to Enderman, you have to match what I brought before you can even call it a 50/50, other than that it look's like a 9/10 for the lion vs tiger, which my past post show's how much the tiger has, which is less than 40 account's an 80% of those account's are of male tiger's killing female lion's, which mean's you have less than 10, while mine's have a 150 account's an if I take away the female's I'm still in the hundred's...
-
So yeah, I like the tiger too... but we are trying to see who kills the other more on average, not just because you like the tiger an boom he win's, you have to provide a 100 account's can you? I dont think so, to get a better Idea you should look a page back I exploited all the fake account's that usually flying around on the web.
-
But if it make's you feel any better, the tiger is in 2nd place...^_^
