Perform the technique: I gather chakra all throughout my body and change the nature of this Chakra using the normal method, by vibrating the chakra to a high frequency. With all this chakra coursing through my entire body, I release it all from every point, creating an aura of lightning that extends a few meters in every direction. As soon as I show I can use this Jutsu, I stop and regather my chakra. I then place my hand on the ground, as I do I gather chakra in my hand and, by using the ground as a medium, send a much more concentrated blast of Lightning Chakra that travels a further distance before dissipating.
Creative uses/strengths: Chidori Nagashi is a very versatile technique, being Short-Mid range it can allow you to protect yourself/ attack your opponent in Close - Mid Range battles. You can shock/ paralyze the target, while protecting yourself from attacks this can counter, such as lower ranked Lightning and Earth Jutsu/ Wood Jutsu. It's my understanding that it's used a lot in Taijutsu based fights as it's both fast and powerful, with the added bonus of paralyzing the target. People who specialize in Lightning get the passive ability to ignore the paralyzing effect this Jutsu can cause, which is always something one should consider having if they are going to be shaking hands in the ****ING NW. =__=
Drawbacks/counters: Basic Lightning Counters apply, such as soaking, or attempting to douse the user of this technique. It would cause more than simple paralysis that's for sure. To combat the scope of this in Short Range, you'd need a Wind Jutsu that covers a wide area and it's Mid Range use needs to be met with the same force. Since I haven't learned B-Rank or Higher Wind yet, that's all I can say on the matter right now.
Perform the technique: I start by performing the seals Ox → Rabbit → Ram → Dog → Monkey, then I gather my chakra. By using the method I mentioned earlier (high freq vibration) I create Lightning Style Chakra. I gather this Chakra in my hand, and like with the last technique, I place my hand on the ground. I then stream the gathered Chakra into the ground and use Shape Manipulation to create a triangular shaped bolt of Lightning Chakra. I then release this bolt and watch as it travels a medium distance away before disappearing.
Creative uses/strengths: This could be good with a diversionary tactic, make the opponent look up, while you stream this from yourself. Besides that I can really see anything creative with this, that would at least be unique to this Jutsu. It's pretty basic, and does the same thing as Nagashi, but involves hand seals.
Drawbacks/counters: If you need to keep contact with the ground, and channel Chakra into the technique, then you will be open to counters from the sides, above or below. The Jutsu certainly covers your front, but it isn't enough to warrant such a requirement. If I need to use an A-Rank technique like this I'll probably stick to Nagashi. Basic counters apply, soaking, using Wind of an equivalent rank etc.
Perform the technique: I gather Chakra in my hand and change it's nature to lightning by causing the Chakra to vibrate at a high frequency. This allows me to create a weaker version of Chidori that I can use to shape into small, lethal needles of Lightning Chakra that have decent penetrating properties, and carry a small numbing effect with each needle, that all travel at a very fast pace. I fire these needles at a nearby tree, each one of the needles burn into the base of the tree, and I watch as it falls over.
Creative uses/strengths: Peppering the opponent seems to be a good idea. The way Sasuke used it to counter Deidara's Explosive Clay Jutsu was also cool, using the Senbon to match the number of the C1 attacks while also disarming them. I'm skeptical about using like Sasuke did in the 2nd Shippuden movie, to block Shinno's Chakra points. That wouldn't be fair, and isn't listed in the Jutsu, so I'll assume that's a no. Besides that, it just generally looks cool.
Drawbacks/counters: Obviously getting doused, or using this against a Water Jutsu would end in you frying yourself. I'm sure that with each bunch of Senbon you make, each one would be weakened to an extent, but then again, Chidori Senbon has never been about overall power, it's about overwhelming or countering with sheer force of numbers. Other than that, I can't really see any downsides that are obvious to this Jutsu. So long as you know exactly when to use it, you should never have to worry about Water and stuff. And yeah, using a Clone would remove the whole "Beware of Water" thing all Chidori Jutsu have going for them.
