Perform the technique: The user starts by performing the required hand seals, Boar β Ram β Snake β Horse β Dragon, and gathering chakra in their hands. They then change the nature of their chakra into Lightning by picturing their chakra vibrating at a high frequency. From there they have the choice to freely manipulate the chakra to either discharge a small amount of Lightning to a short ranged, but wide scaled wave of electrical chakra.
Creative uses/strengths: Having the ability to freely control the intensity/ concentration of energy opens the user up to many different uses. The most basic of which are blasting through Doton techniques or natural earthen formations like stalactites in caves (causing them to fall on the enemy), shocking/ paralyzing targets, forcing the enemy into another technique you create (aka misleading or redirecting them into another technique) and otherwise just flat out attacking the enemy. The strengths of this jutsu are the fact that Fuka was able to perform it rather quickly and in rapid succession of other techniques, it's paralyzing ability, the fact it is focused into short range, making it more effective than most other wide spread techniques and it's shown compatibility with Suiton techniques.
Drawbacks/counters: The technique only reaches the enemy if they are in Short range of you, so unless you assist this technique with a Suiton technique that has further reach it can be difficult to hit the enemy. It also requires more hand seals than is usually necessary for a Low Rank Lightning technique, meaning, without having Lightning as a specialty on your bio, it could be difficult to perform in the heat of battle. While it is focused into Short range, it is still somewhat erratic, like Chidori Nagashi and can be easily overpowered with more focused Lightning techniques. Countering this is very easy. All the user requires is any Wind technique that has defensive properties, or good offensive properties to overpower it. The user may also use the (Kenjutsu: Hirashin) Sword Technique: Lightning Rod since the technique is a free flowing current, and not a direct Lightning Technique, like the next Technique in the list.
Perform the technique: The user begins by gathering Chakra in their hand, and focusing on a single point, similar to what they would do with the Rasengan or Chidori. They change the nature of their Chakra to Lightning and begin to form a ball of focused Lightning, which they then proceed to throw at the desired target. In the Anime, this technique was originally meant to be performed with twin swords, but I assume it was changed to accommodate people who either don't use swords, or use more than one.
Creative uses/strengths: The technique itself is very quick to form and requires no hand seals, just the users concentration and a target. This makes it a perfect technique for close range engagements. Being able to perform this technique on the fly while in the middle of a Taijutsu or Kenjutsu makes it a very effective technique. Since it can reach to Mid range it can also work in conjunction with other projectile techniques, either covering larger areas, targeting more targets or making single attacks more difficult to overcome.
Drawbacks/counters: There is always the chance the the enemy could douse you while your focusing on the technique, making it back fire on you. It's also been shown to be quite small, meaning larger techniques will overpower it if they are of a similar rank. To counter this technique, you need a Wind technique with good defensive properties to stop it, or good offensive properties to overcome it, defending and attacking the enemy at the same time. Using Earth Style to defend this technique isn't recommended because it would have to be quite strong to withstand it, and since this technique is very quick, you may not even have a chance to pull it off. No, it is far easier to overcome it with a Offensive Wind Technique.
Perform the technique: The user starts by focusing and channeling chakra throughout their body. Then, by changing the nature of the chakra to Lightning, the user emits an aura of Lightning all over their body. This armor of Lightning will electrocute any person close enough to the user, or that are in direct contact with them. The technique states that it is only good for one attack, meaning it doesn't need more chakra to be sustained. Then again I never saw that episode of Naruto, so I may be wrong there, but if the technique disperses after one hit that means it can't constantly be consuming chakra, I assume.
Creative uses/strengths: Since the technique makes physical attacks nigh impossible, it's smart to use it against CQC fighters, like Samurai or Taijutsu specialists. To be able to almost instantly activate a defensive shield of electricity against someone who uses their fists is a good advantage against them. But this technique does leave the user extremely vulnerable to Water techniques, so it must be handled with care when against people who specialize in Suiton. It doesn't require handseals, so the user can use them for other purposes, like disabling the opponent or engaging them in hand to hand combat, before unleashing this. Other than that, the technique is both Offensive and Defensive. That makes it cool.
Drawbacks/counters: The biggest drawback is the most obvious. It makes the user vulnerable to Suiton techniques, causing the Jutsu to backfire on the user. To counter it, using Wind Style supplementary or Offensive attacks to either augment your strikes, or engage the technique without contact seem to be the best ways to counter this. The user could also perform Doton techniques to either wear the armor out (by attacking them directly, since it only works for one attack) or separate the user from the enemy and give them time to formulate a proper plan of attack. Finally, if the user were to perform the same technique, they would easily cancel each other out. Whether or not the techniques would cause damage to the two parties, I am unsure.
Hope the detail was enough. If it wasn't please say so. xd
