I already know up to C rank, so yeah. Before you ask:
Basic Info:
Lightning is a nearly purely destructive element, much like fire. All of its techniques possess a shocking ability, as well as the power to burn things, while some others also posses a melting and explosive ability, due to the sheer force withing a lightning bolt. Damage from lightning techniques is mostly caused by the fact that the human body is made up mostly of water. Water is an amazing conductor for lightning, meaning when a single area is shocked, most of the body will be as well. This is what makes lightning a very offensive element. Because it has no physical structure, it is usually used only for offense, however, with techniques like lightning strike armor and plasma ball, lightning can be manifested into a focused barrier which protects the user from attacks. Another uncommon but powerful use of lightning is as a restrictive tool, with techniques like 16-pillar bind creating a large prison around the target, trapping them and then shocking them inside.
Elemental Interactions:
Lightning is weak to wind, as it is absorbed and easily dispersed using wind. However, Lightning is strong to earth, as lightning is of an extreme heat. Lightning destroys earth techniques in 3 steps: Hardening to the point of brittleness, Cracking and splitting, and then total disintegration of the pieces. A single lightning technique will complete the first step if it is not continuous, and another non-continuous one will complete the last two. Generally, the first step will only apply if the earth is in mud form. Lightning is neutral to fire, and they simply clash, though when it comes down to it, lightning is actually hotter than fire. Lightning is also neutral to water, but will conduct easily through it and deliver a deadly shocking current to anybody touching a source of water which the lightning does. Lightning is also weak to paper, which is doubly effective against it (Paper can block or defeat a lightning tech up to 2 ranks higher). Lightning is also strong against ice, which is cut through and destroyed due to its brittle nature easily by lightning.
No applause for reading your mind? ): it was the last C-Rank, and then NK taught me plasma ball. He didnt exactly do things in order. I learnt all of the D-C ranks and plasma ball tho. So just start with the first b rank and skip plasma ball.
LOL since you made it to C-ranks, I was gonna assume your previous teacher covered all of that with you.
(Raiton: Raiton no Heki ) – Lightning Release: Lightning Release Wall
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulates their chakra while doing the Ox hand seal and then releases it in front of him whilst holding their hands out. By doing this, the user generates a wall of lightning energy that can defend against certain techniques. The user can use this defence to shock enemy targets who attempt close range combat and deliver massive shocks to anything that comes in contact with it.
(Raiton: Reijingu Sandā) - Lightning Style: Raging Thunder
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user creates a half shaped dome of lightning that can be pushed forward in a similar way to a "wave of lightning" attack. It has both paralyzing and shocking properties as well as physical momentum.
(Raiton: Sandā Sāburu) - Lightning Style: Thunder Saber
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range:Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user gathers lightning chakra around his fist, generating a sphere of pure lightning around it. The user can then punch a target, unleashing the lightning in the form of a localized electrical explosion.
The first is a lightning wall. Works as you would think. That simple. Takes a single handseals, so no disadvantage really.
Pros:
-Defends and can deal damage on contact
-Single handseal
Cons:
-Only B rank
An outwards expanding wave of lightning. Only short ranged, but needs no handseals. Would be more useful if the electricity was released from the body like Nagashi, but does its job.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Generates momentum
-Paralyzes
Cons:
-Only short ranged
-Only B ranked, so somewhat easily countered
Another short ranged attack, but it is a punch, so not really a disadvantage or shortcoming. Explodes, making it look cool. The explosion is also localised so it won't harm you, it only explodes outwards. Almost like a less piercing, explosive B ranked chidori.
Pros:
-Explosive
-No handseals
Cons:
-Requires you to land the punch
I'm fairly certain that technique needs to be maintained. You can unleash the wall, but if you stop channeling chakra through it, the wall fades. For certainty, you're free to ask House.
Remember with that getting close to the opponent always carry its own risks, so getting close to use that third one can be dangerous. Use wisely.
(Raiton: Ikazuchi no Kiba) - Lightning Release: Fangs of Lightning
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user will raise his hand or a weapon and send an electrical discharge into the clouds, allowing them to create lightning strikes in the desired location. The discharges are triggered right after the technique and cannot be delayed or prepared before hand but are quite fast.
(Raiton: Shichu Shibari) – Lightning Release: Four-Pillar Bind
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After the user performs the Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals, he releases his lightning chakra into the ground, using it to forcefully shape the earth into 4 big pillars (proportionate to the target area) around the target. Once they rise, they unleash a barrage of lightning bolts, currents and shocks to whatever is inside, paralyzing, shocking and damaging the target from all around.
(Raiton: Kangekiha) – Lightning Release: Wave of Inspiration
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage point: 40 (+20 to Water Technique)
Description: After doing the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seals, the user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands, which can then be either released in an unfocused manner or passed through conductive materials to improve the electrical power of the technique, namely in conjunction with Water Techniques. In fact, certain users have showed that its possible to, if the user has the ability to mold both Water and Lightning chakras at the same time (for example, Darui who has Storm Release), unleash this particular technique at the same time as they exhale/spit some water technique (which needs to consist of a stream of water), combining both in a seemingly consecutive move. Other ninjas will need to use a clone or an ally for the same effect.
Question, why does nobody teach more than 3 techs a post? For up to B-Ranks at least you could probably post the whole list and i'd do em' for yeh.
First one is a near insta-dodge requiring lightning bolt. Pretty simple, no handseals, and its speed is supposedly instantaneous. Judging by that, the standard substitution tech wouldn't be enough.
Pros:
-Almost impossible to dodge
-No handseals
Cons:
-I can't think of any except maybe its range
The name says it all. You raise pillars of earth to bind your opponent, and then they shoot lightning like a shaman's totem at whatever is inside their radius. Great attack/restrictive tech, as you dont need to make the pillars shock the opponent. Earth release would be more suited for the second usage though.
Pros:
-Restricting
-Hard to avoid, as you can make the space inside the four pillars as massive as you want as long as you space the pillars apart properly
-Long range maximum
Cons:
-Requires 4 handseals
Imagine a giant lightning laser blast, kinda in the shape of a kamehameha. Then imagine that kamehameha doubled in size and a massive torrent of water approaching you. That is wave of inspiration.
Pros:
-KAMEHAMEHA!
-Long range maximum
-Multiple styles of usage
Cons:
-Requires clone to use second effect if you dont have the ability to mold Water and lightning at the same time.

Honestly, I don't even know. Do you wanna do it that way? It sure would save a lot of time.
You're fairly on track with that first one. Dodging the technique is indeed near impossible; you'd have a much easier time blocking it than you would dodging it. Since it triggers right after the user fires off, the opponent won't be able to delay it based on you raising your hand alone. A very deadly jutsu when used right.
The Four Pillars themslves don't actually bind the target. They don't surround or coil around them or anything like a whip or a chain or rope. It erupts around them in a perimeter with them in the center and emits lightning onto them constantly, with the lightning binding them.
It's actually not like a Kamehameha. It's a mass of unfocused electricity that can be launched forward, or it can be released onto a water technique to charge the water, giving it extra strength.

Hell, I could do a rank a post if you wanted. I mean, if and when you get sensei, you should totally make me your PS. So that I can be the most Dank Roleplayer of the Century.
Okay. I can do all of these in the same paragraph as they all really are just lightning bolt- based projectiles. The only exception is the whip. The first one is a Lightning bolt that can split as it travels along the ground. Second is a lightning bolt that you use by making the spirit bomb position and then making a kamehameha position. Third is a lightning whip. All of them share weaknesses and strengths.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Decent range
-Quick moving
Cons:
-Basic projectile, so easily countered or dodged
-Somewhat single target, save for the first jutsu
I'm fairly certain the second jutsu creates the Lightning as a bolt that falls from the sky. I'm not completely sure, so I'll check and get back to you on this.
Something you should remember is that in the first jutsu, the opponent can capitalize on the electricity surrounding your body with certain water techniques that can cause you to be electrocuted.

Description: The user will take out two large shuriken or Windmill Shuriken and channel their raiton chakra into them. They will then throw them at their target to pin them down and maintain a connection with the shuriken through a electrical cable that delivers a numbing shock to paralyse the target and restrict their movements.
Note: Numbing Effect lasts for one turn.
Try these out. Separate your explanations please. And yeah I do, but I don't think I have any to teach atm.
This is literally one of the previous jutsus with a different name. It's a lightning whip and that's about it.
Pros:
-Okay range for a whip
-No handseals
Cons:
-Sucks Ass. No originality and easily countered
A mid ranged lightning dog. It's attached to what seems like a leash, and can most likely be guided. It literally just charges the opponent. Very generic. No handseals.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Good range for a sorta melee attack
Cons:
-Once again not very original. Maybe it's something with B-ranks, but they are all either really great, or really shit. Maybe thats just me, but I dunno.
Now this is funny. A lightning spear.... Okay. So not so bad so far. It can hit multiple targets. Nice! Then this bullshit: It is long range. WHAT THE ****. No. This isn't okay. Kishi, y u do dis
Pros:
-No handseals
-Multi target
-Long range
-Piercing
Cons:
-Sorta easy to counter
-Undefined speed, though it is lightning so.....
A lightning clone. That's it. It disperses into lightning instead of smoke. No handseals though.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Disperses into lightning
Cons:
-Can use only up to b rank lightning
You give your sword lightning affinities and wind level cutting power. Sounds cool to me.
Pros:
-SWORDS
-No handseals
-Extra damage and cutting power
Cons:
-Requires a sword
-As it is infused with elemental chakra, the sword becomes effected by elemental weaknesses.
A single handseal creates a giant lightning bomb. Nice aoe and decently hard to dodge/counter due to radius.
Pros:
-AOE
-Long range, so as it is a discharge, thats a 15-20m or 100 foot radius
Cons:
-Requires a handseal
This is what sasuke used on deidara that one time. It is basically a shuriken chidori. Paralyzes the opponent through shuriken. The only problem is... you have to hit them with the shuriken first. Not exactly easy to do in our system.
Pros:
-Good range
-Weapon based
Cons:
-You actually need to hit the opponent with a basic weapon
The Lightning Hound is guided, and remains attached to your hand through the tether or lightning. So you wouldn't be able to perform other jutsu while using it, you'd have to deactivate the dog first.
The False Darkness Spear can strike someone regardless of if they're in long, mid, or short range. That's what it means by long range, it can be launched into long range.
The Lightning Clone is most often used in deception. The opponent won't be able to tell its made of lightning, so if it gets close, it can burst into lightning to paralyze the opponent and pave way for a sneak attack.
Not a bomb. It's similar to that other lightning bolt jutsu. You raise your hand and release lightning into the sky. The lightning then drops as a bolt to shock the opponent. The difference between this and the other one is that this one has a delay between when the lightning goes into the sky and when it comes down to the target, while the other has no such delay, it comes down as it's going up.
Nice eye, but it's actually what Sasuke did to Itachi. The ones Sasuke used on Deidara had wires attached to them instead.
( Raiton: Rakurai Senkou ) - Lightning Release: Thunderbolt Flash
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user releases a current of purplish lightning from their hands forward, damaging and knocking away enemies. The range of this technique is, however, limited.
( Raiton: Purazuma Bōru ) - Lightning Release: Plasma Ball
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (-5 per turn active)
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulating their chakra generates a plasma barrier around them to serve as a defence which protects them from incoming attacks, even from something as wide-ranged as the Quicksand Waterfall Flow. However the user cannot use other techniques besides lightning release or physical based techniques while sustaining the technique. The user can rush at their opponents even if the barrier is active and use it to ram against them. The shield can be used offensively, by discharging the electricity in the direction of their choice in a wave resulting in using the energy of the barrier and ending its effects.
Note: Technique remains active for 3 turns.
( Raiton: Kaminari no Shōgeki Ame ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Shock Rain
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulates their lightning chakra condensing into a orb of chakra and then releasing it into the air. The lightning orb will then remain in the air for several seconds releasing a continous rain of lightning bolts shocking any enemy within the radius of the attack.
Note: Lasts only the turn in which its used.
( Raiton: Raisogekishin ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Rat Violent Quake
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the required hand seals Monkey → Ox → Boar → Tiger the user releases a discharge of electricity that shapes itself into several destructive disks of lightning. These are shot at the targets with great speed.
(Raiton: Chidori) - Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user must first perform the following sequence of hand seals Ox → Rabbit → Monkey → Dragon → Rat → Bird → Ox → Snake → Dog → Tiger → Monkey and they will then focus lightning chakra into their hand to create a lightning jutsu that is concentrated in the user's palm and thrusted toward the opponent at high speed. The lightning in the user's palm sounds like birds chirping, hence the name, and allows the user to perform high grade cutting damage or high penetration piercing thrusts.
Note: Someone who mastered lightning release can perform chidori with just the Ox hand seal.
Note: Uchiha Sasuke and Kakashi Hatake bios can use the technique without handseals
(Raiton: Chidori Nagashi) - Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds Current
Rank: A
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short (Mid if channeled through a medium)
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A (+10 if used to boost weapon damage)
Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty
(Raiton: Ikazuchi Hakai) – Lightning Release: Lightning Destruction
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing a small sequence of 3 hand seals the user will place their hand on the ground converting their chakra in to lightning. The user then sends an enormous bolt of electricity that cuts through the ground in the direction of the enemy. The shape of the bolt is a triangular with the base in the direction of the user and the tip headed towards the target. It causes devastating destruction on its way and generates enough heat and power to destroy whatever it comes into contact with.
(Raiton: Chidori Senbon) - Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds Needle
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 30

Description: The user reshapes the Chidori in their hand into the form of countless senbon which are shot with a simple hand movement towards the target. The senbons are extremely precise and have the same numbing and paralyzing effects as Chidori, carrying enormous speed. Because the technique requires no handseals and is done with simple hand movements, its extremely hard to avoid while in short range and quite dangerous to counter due to the precision attacks it can be used to perform.

Thx for replying. You are like, one of my favorite teachers so I love training with you. Especially because I can finish an element in a week if we both reply fast enough with you XD
The first technique is like a solid nagashi. It just knocks the opponents back and delivers minor electrical damage. It however is only short range. No handseals though.
Pros:
-No Handseals
-AOE current style, so it can attack multiple grouped enemies.
Cons:
-Somewhat slower than other lightning techs
-Short Range
-Doesn't deal lethal damage
I already know this one. The first thing I posted was "I know up to all of the C-Ranks and Plasma Ball, but I know nothing other than that". No biggie though. I'll do one anyways. This technique is the jesus of lightning techs. It is defensive, offensive, and is lightning based. It shields against almost any taijutsu, almost any earth tech, and most other techniques save for wind techniques of C rank or higher. It can be discharged at any time, and maintains itself. It also takes no handseals, and has minimal cost to maintain.
Pros:
-All of them
Cons:
-None of them
A lightning shower. Basically Lightning rain, as the title says. Damn Hail, 10 million volt bastard bullets! Oh... that ain't no hail. It isn't great and has sort of limited range. It lasts only a turn, but that isn't an issue. I can't imagine it being very lethal due to it's randomness, but I can see it as a good diversion and suppressant technique.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Large quantity of projectiles
Cons:
-Limited range
-Non Lethal to an extent
-Delayed start time.
Destructo.... DISK!!! (And/Or Kienzan for those who like the Japanese version)
Pros:
-Good range for such power
-Multiple projectiles
-Very fast
Cons:
-3 handseals
-Name makes no sense
I'll do the chidori techs all together:
Basic Chidori:
A powerful stabbing/chopping attack which requires the user to be at close range. It however has massive penetrative power, able to pierce earth structures of S-Rank. It requires a long string of handseals, but specialists and certain people can avoid said handseals.
Pros:
-Very quick
-Extremely powerful in terms of flat out damage; if you land this, your opponent WILL be dead unless they have some sort of healing factor.
Cons:
-Many handseals
-Requires Melee range
Chidori Nagashi:
The most used technique on the base by far. It is a powerful paralysis technique which allows any user to paralyze an opponent on contact with their body, or through a conductive medium. It is also nigh instantaneous, being impossible to dodge. It's range can also be increased by using earlier mentioned conductive mediums, though only up to mid range. It can also prevent earth techniques from forming and activating, and can destroy lower (B-C Rank or lower) ranked earth structures after they are fully formed. The only disadvantage to this technique is it's lack of offensive ability. This too, however can be overcome by use of certain customs.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Practically instant
-Full body emission of the lightning.
-Destroys Earth Based Structures and halts earth based techniques from activation.
-Can be channeled through conductive mediums (Water, Metal, ETC.)
Cons:
-.... What to put here. Oh, it doesn't do actual damage unless used to enhance a weapon
-It's actual main effect is useless against lightning specialists. The second most specialized in element after water.....
Chidori Senbon:
Essentially, normal senbon. Except they're A rank, deal heavy damage when piercing vital spots, are nigh impossible to dodge at close range, and have the lightning element. They also take no handseals to create, and can be used with the wave of a hand. The are excellent at disabling and/or flat out killing opponents due to their precision. If these things hit it, they go straight through it. As the legend goes, "Ye olde Sarada Uchiha was created using one of dem' needles". (I need to make a Chidori **** Custom).
Pros:
-No handseals
-Fast
-Hard to dodge
-Deadly or Nonlethal, depending on the method of usage
-Massive Quantities or tiny, also depending on method of usage.
Cons:
-.... I guess it's weak to wind?
This is a giant lightning arrow laser. That's all.
Pros:
-It looks cool
-It "destroys anything in it's path"
-It is decently ranged
Cons:
-3 Handseals
-Single target
Thats all. I believe the last one I can learn till S-Class is Telegram Flash.
(Raiton: Sanda Appu) – Lightning Release: Thunder Up
Rank: A
Type: Offence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user concentrates a lot of lightning chakra into their hand, compressing it into a ball of lightning energy. The user can then hurl it at the enemy or trust it forward in a melee attack. Once the ball hits the target, it expands into a massive lightning explosion.
(Raiton: Jūrokuchū Shibari) – Lightning Release: Sixteen-Pillar Bind
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Monkey → Horse → Tiger the user will create a even more powerful version of Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind. Using this technique, the user creates sixteen giant pillars by using his lightning chakra to shape the ground into a multitude of pillars, which then form a giant cubic oven to trap the enemy. It is often used after Earth Release: Mud Fall to cover the enemy target in mud and then follow up with using Fire release: Firing Biscuit, creating flames in the oven to roast and harden the mud, immobilizing the enemy.
(Raiton: Chidori Eiso) - Lightning Release Chidori Sharp Spear
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user increases the range of their Chidori by using form manipulation to extend it into a blade up to 10 meters in length. This blade is capable of splitting into multiple additional blades upon contact with an enemy, drastically increasing the number of wounds it can inflict. Like other Chidori-related techniques, this jutsu will numb its target upon contact but unlike others, seems to focus more on having a cutting power, like a katana, than a piercing one. Because of its cutting abilities, it often seems to manifest a certain "solidity"; a tangible aspect.
(Raiton: Rairyu no Tatsumaki) - Lightning Release: Thunder Dragon Tornado
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user forms a whirling vortex of electricity around themselves. The vortex will take on the form of a dragon’s head and will grow to then shoot forward and cover the area in front of them. Even if the attack doesn't directly connect with his foe, the lightning can jump from the vortex to hit a nearby target.
( Raiton: Denpō Sekka ) – Lightning Release: Telegram Flash
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After doing the Rabbit → Rat → Horse → Ram hand seals, the user will slam his hand on the ground and release into it a massive amounts of lightning chakra which will then pool beneath his opponent before releasing itself into a gigantic column of lightning which shocks anything caught above it. The technique can affect a bigger or smaller area depending on the users will.
(Raiton: Gian) - Lightning Style: False Darkness
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Descripton: The user, after performing the Snake hand seal, emits lightning in the shape of a spear from their hands or mouth which then pierces the enemy. Kakuzu, the original user, shoots the technique from his Lightning mask's mouth. Its destructive power is great enough to even pierce through rock; meaning it has a high killing potential. The user can increase the number of spears to attack multiple enemies by branching the main spear. This, coupled with the sheer speed of the lightning, makes it a difficult technique to evade. This strong attack can be defended against by an equally strong attack of the same element such as Raikiri.
(Raiton: Raikiri Nibai Raikou Jishin) – Lightning Release: Lightning Blade Double Lightning Quake
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user performs (Raiton: Raikiri) - Lightning Release: Lightning Blade and splits it in two, covering both hands in Lightning. He will then perform a melee attack at the enemy, unleashing the powerful lightning into him.
(Raiton: Kirin) - Lightning Release: Kirin
Rank: S
Type: Offense
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra Cost: 70
Damage Points: 120
Description: After using a fire jutsu to heat the atmosphere and create thunderclouds in the sky, the user will use Chidori to take control of the lightning above. They can then make the lightning strike an opponent in the blink of an eye.
Note: Can only be used by Lightning Specialists.
Note: Can only be avoided with time/space techniques or otherwise absolute defenses.
Note: Can only be used once per battle.
Note: In the turn before the use of Kirin, the user must have used at least a B-Rank, Long Range Fire (Katon) technique directed at the sky.
Note: User needs to post Chidori, meaning that in the turn Kirin is used, the user spends 2 moves.
(Raiton: Chidori Jinrai) – Lightning Release: 1000 birds ThunderClap.
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user will cover his hands in with lightning, essentially performing a (Raiton: Chidori) Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds in each hand. Clapping his hands together, the user can unleash that massive amount of lightning chakra into the form of a powerful Thunderbolt directed at the target. The technique is best used if the user has a height advantage in relation to the target. The thunderbolt is strong enough to leave a giant crater and cannot be used while being in Short-range of the target, at the risk of being hit also.
(Raiton: Raikiri) - Lightning Release: Lightning Blade
Rank: S
Type: Offense
Range: Short (Long if applied to a projectile weapon)
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: The Lightning Cutter is an enhanced and concentrated form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks that is done performing the Ox → Rabbit → Monkey hand seals. According to Might Guy, it gained its name after Kakashi split a bolt of lightning with it. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Cutter requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Cutter is much more focused. Kakashi has shown different ways of forming and using the Lightning Cutter, unique to him. For example, he demonstrated the ability to imbue a projectile weapon, such as a kunai, with his Lightning Cutter, granting the technique long-range capabilities by throwing the kunai towards his target. In this instance, the kunai was capable of piercing through multiple large rocks with ease, without any loss of momentum or change in trajectory.
Note: Kakashi biographies can use the technique without hand seals.
Note: Only Kakashi biographies can apply the technique to a kunai and use it as a projectile attack.
(Raigen Raikochu) – Lightning Illusion Flash of Lightning Pillar
Rank: S
Type: Supplementaty
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: After performing the following handseals Ram → Horse → Snake → Tiger the user will release a massive amount of lighting chakra which he uses to create a blinding light that appears to emanate from all over the users body. The light can blind any enemy that sees it but its main ability is that, through skill and precise chakra control and timing, the user can use it as a cover to put the enemy into a genjutsu by using the light as a decoy, preventing the enemy from noticing the genjutsu was placed.
Note: Can follow with any Genjutsu the user knows up to A-Rank but needs to have mastered Genjutsu. The user will need to effectively spend two moves, performing both the Lightning Illusion and the Genjutsu; the first only serves as a cover to place the second unnoticed
Note: Can only be used once every three turns
(Raiton: Chidori Raimei) - Lightning Style: 1000 Birds Thunderstorm
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost:40
Damage Points:80
Descripton: The user will channel lightning chakra into his hand, covering it with a massive chidori. The user will then point his palm forwards, unleashing that chakra, creating a massive 120º blast of lightning that spreads from his hand, outwards and forward towards the enemy.
( Raiton: Raiden ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Chain
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short (Mid range connection)
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: This technique requires the user to firstly create a shadow clone. Then, each of them will activate the Lightning Cutter on opposite hands to one another. Connecting the two techniques together, forming a chain of sorts, they are then able to use the resulting beam to slice through objects with great ease.
Note: Must first have a shadow clone in the field.
( Raiton: Chidori Shinsō ) - One Thousand Birds True Spear
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description:The user starts off by dashing at his opponent with a Chidori in his hand. As they strikes his opponent, they uses shape manipulation to extend the Chidori into a lightning spear that impales and hurtles the opponent into the air. The user then increases the potency of the lightning, generating a powerful electric explosion at the end of the spear and sending the enemy back to the ground.
Note: Only the spear extention can reach up to mid range.
This one is basically a ranged lightning rasengan. Except instead of a spiral powerful but contained explosion, we get a mini palm nuke! I like this. It also requires no handseals. It can however only be thrown up to mid range.
Pros:
-No handseals
-And I quote "Massive Explosion"
-Can be thrown as well as used like a rasengan
Cons:
-Only throwable up to mid range
This is just a bigger version of four pillar bind, however instead of shocking what's inside of the cube, it simply traps them and can be used as a torture mechanism. It does require a few handseals though.
Pros:
-Long range
-Hard to break out of
Cons:
-Many handseals
-No shock delivered like with four pillar bind.
This is just false darkness spear as an A-rank.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Solid
Cons:
-Somewhat slow for a lightning tech due to solidity
-Only mid range
A really hard to avoid dragon of lightning that is shot from a tornado. It probably doesn't see much use, but it doesn't require handseals, has long range, and isn't easy to dodge, so it ain't a bad technique.
Pros:
-0 handseals
-long range
-Fast
-Tornado Form
-Hard to avoid
Cons:
-Can be countered with any decent wind technique.
This isn't a lightning pillar. It's ****ing El Thor from one piece.
Pros:
-Nigh instant in activation
-Extremely hard to dodge
Cons:
-Lots of handseals
-Mid range
This is once again, another version of false darkness spear. This one however, is much faster, can split into even more versions, and is more powerful. Also, it's from the mouth. And it only needs 1 handseal. WTF long range too?
Pros:
-All teh pros
Cons:
-One handseal, I guess?
So I could use this, or the double lightning blade tech....... why does this tech even exist.
Pros:
-Two half raikiris I guess?
Cons:
-It shouldn't be used, and you should use Dual Raikiri instead.
This is by far the most powerful lightning jutsu in the Narutoverse besides maybe Indra's arrow. It requires you to be a lightning specialist to use, and is very very useful. For starters, you need to shoot a b rank fireball into the sky. Easy, when your opponent jumps, aim it at them and hope they dodge. Then, you must use Chidori, and you call down pure lightning. This is the only technique which actually uses pure lightning in of naruto. It moves literally as fast as real lightning. You are ****ed if this hits you, no matter what you do, you can't dodge it without Space time techniques.
Pros:
-Any range minus short
-Impossible to dodge
-Very powerful
Cons:
-By the time you can use this, you will have made 3 moves
-Requires user to post chidori
A weaker, single move version of Kirin without the setup.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Powerful
-Hard to counter
-Hard to dodge
Cons:
-Single lightning bolt
-User can harm themselves very easily if they **** up.
This is a more powerful chidori that can actually cut through lightning. So yeah.
Pros:
-Less handseals than chidori but more power.
-Can slice lightning techniques if the user can react fast enough
Cons:
-Kunai application is limited to Kakashi
-Has less variations than the Chidori
-3 handseals
This is essentially a lightning based flash bomb that can be used to follow up into a gen. Really not too useful.
Pros:
-Blinds opponent
-Can be followed up with gen
Cons:
-No offensive power
-4 handseals
-User needs to make two moves to add gen
A lightning kamehameha. There is nothing else to it. I love this attack!
Pros:
-No handseals
-Expands as it moves forwards
-Very hard to dodge
Cons:
-Mid range
It's like the one piece bird cage. Except you control it.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Pretty much cuts through anything
-If user is faster than the opponent, they are essentially screwed.
Cons:
-Requires a clone
This is literally Chidori Eiso with an explosion. Not bad, but could be better.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Explosion!
-Hard to evade
Cons:
-Easy to block and notice
-Mid range
